Abstract

PURPOSE:To compact sand in both vertical and horizontal directions by a method in which the lower part of the flexible pipe in the axial portion of a hollow pipe is turned by means of the vertical vibration of an oscillator provided at the head of the hollow pipe for forming a sand pile and also of the horizontal vibration of a vibrator provided at the lower part of the hollow pipe. CONSTITUTION:A flexible lever 10 whose upper part is fixed to an oscillator 4 is hung down on the axial portion of a hollow pipe 9 provided with a vertically vibrating oscillator 4 for formation of a sand pile, and a horizontally vibrating vibrator 12 radially provided with plural compacting blades 13 is fixed to the lower end of the flexible lever 10 in such a way as to project it from the lower part of the hollow pipe 9. The flexible lever 10 is turned in such a way as to draw a small circle at its lower part by means of the vertical movement of the oscillator 4 and also of the horizontal movement of the vibrator 12, and sand charged into the hollow pipe 9 is discharged while being compacted in both vertical and horizontal directions. Thereby, a large-diameter, dense, and strong sand pile can be produced inside the hollow pipe 9 of such a small diameter.
