[Detailed explanation of the invention] This invention is a quilting process in which multiple wavy patterns are applied to futons, rugs, etc., and each wavy line drawn by the seams is flat and has an even width, making it look orderly. This invention relates to a multiple quilting machine that can create a patterned appearance.

A large number of synchronously interlocking sewing machines are installed horizontally in parallel, and a power rotating roll is installed horizontally as needed to move the lower part of the sewing machine needle vertically when a workpiece such as a futon is attached to the workpiece in conjunction with the operation of the sewing machine. In a conventional multiple quilting machine that performs multiple wavy quilting on the workpiece by oscillating it in accordance with the longitudinal movement, the sewing machine in the front row naturally sews, and then the sewing machine in the rear row sews. However, when a workpiece such as a futon that initially had a width as shown by the chain line in Fig. 4C and the left end of Fig. 3 is sewn by the front row sewing machine, the third As shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 4, the width is slightly reduced due to unevenness in the cross section, and therefore the quilting patterns when sewn with the front row sewing machine and when sewn with the back row sewing machine appear to be similar. Even if the oscillation width of the workpiece is designed to match the arrangement of the sewing machines so that the oscillation widths are different and a regular pattern is formed at the beginning, the dotted line in Fig. As shown in , it was inevitable that the quilting pattern would be messy, with overlapping stitches.

In the above-mentioned multiple quilting processing machine, the frame 10 is oscillated, and the power rotating rolls 2, 3.4 are each rotated while being oscillated as described above to remove cloth and batting from each wrapping roll. While the workpiece 6 is moved vertically through the lower part of the sewing machine needle, when each sewing machine is operated to continuously quilt the workpiece 6, the sewing machine in the front row is used to sew the workpiece 6 in the direction shown in Fig. 4. As shown in the figure, unevenness occurs in the cross section, which reduces the width as a whole. When the needle passes through the lower part of the needle, the width of the wavy stitches on the workpiece 6 created by the rear row sewing machine becomes larger than that created by the front row sewing machine, and the width of the wavy stitches on the workpiece 6 protrudes from the planned line. 1
The frame 10 has a crank diameter of the crank mechanism 16 for
By setting the above-mentioned reduction ratio to the crank diameter of the crank mechanism 15 for the machine to be appropriate, the apparent widths of the wavy stitches produced by the front-row sewing machine and those produced by the rear-row sewing machine can be made equal to each other. This makes it possible to process the pattern into an orderly pattern having stitches 9 that do not overlap each other, as shown by the solid line in FIG.

As mentioned above, of the power rotating rolls 2, 3.4, only the roll 2 located in front of the front row sewing machine is made to swing together with the frame 10 as a roll for the front row sewing machine, and the two rolls 3 located at the rear of the front row sewing machine are rotated. In addition to a mechanism in which the roll 4 is separately installed on the roll table 13 as a roll for the rear row sewing machine and is swung by a width smaller than that during the swing of the frame 10, only one roll 4 at the rear of the rear row sewing machine can be used for the rear row sewing machine. In some cases, the other two rolls 2 and 3 are used as rolls for the front-row sewing machine, and only the roll 4 for the rear-row sewing machine is swung by a width smaller than that of the other rolls. Of course.

Further, as in the above-described embodiment, the workpiece is automatically and continuously moved to the power rotating rolls 2, 3, 4, that is, the sewing machines 1, 1.
For example, instead of using the frame 10 that swings and pivots the wrapped roll of cloth or cotton to feed the workpiece 6 to the power rotating rolls 2 and 3, , 4 and sewing machines 1, 1', etc., the roll 2 for the front row sewing machine must of course be fixed not on the frame 10 but on a separate roll stand that similarly swings. become.

As described above, although the present invention has a simple structure, it eliminates the conventionally unavoidable defect that the stitches produced by the front row sewing machine and the stitches produced by the rear row sewing machine are uneven, and creates a multiple quilting pattern that is neatly aligned throughout the workpiece. Since it can be applied to the top of the screen, it greatly contributes to improving the quilting technology.
