本発明は磁気記録媒体に係り、磁性層中にカーボンブラ
ック吸着アルミナを含ませておくことにより、磁性層の
耐摩耗性、耐久性に富み、再生減磁は小さく、又、帯電
防止効果に優れ、ゴミやホコリ等が付着しに<<、走行
性に優れたものとなり、又遮光性にも優れ、さらには角
型比も良好な磁気記録媒体を提供することを目的とする

に効果を及ぼすのは、カーボンブラックが磁性層中vc
O,6重量係以上含捷れているものであり、又再生減磁
に効果を及ぼすの(d、酸rヒアルミニラムが磁性層中
に08重量係以−ヒ含まれているものであり、従って表
面電気抵抗、遮光性、再生減磁のいずれの特性の向上を
も図ろうとすると、カーボンブラック及び酸化アルミニ
ウム等非磁性粉の含有量は多くなり、磁性粉の充填密度
は小さくなり、電磁変換特性はそれだけ低下し、例えば
角型比等の磁気特性は悪いものとなっている〇これに対
して、本実施例の結果が示すように、酸化7 ルミニウ
ム、カーボンブラックを磁性層中に含ませるのではなく
、カーボンブラック吸着アルミナ磁性層中に、特に磁性
層中に05重量係以上含ませることにより、表面電気抵
抗、遮光性及び再生減磁の特性向上は少量でも図れるも
のとなり、従って、磁性粉の充填密度をそれだけ大挙な
ものとでき、電磁変換特性の低下は小さく、例えば角型

、走行性にも優れたものであり、又遮光性にも優れ、光
センサー等によるテープ端検出機構が誤動作することな
く、特にこれらの特性向上の為に加える添加物は少量で
も効果を発揮するものであり、従って相対的に磁性粉の
充填密度な大へなものとでき、電磁変換特性は良好であ
