Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a braking force according to the variations in loads by a method in which a pin connecting a push rod with a pedal arm is slidable inserted into the hole of the arm, and the lever ratio is varied by moving the pin according to the carrying loads. CONSTITUTION:A pin 6 connecting a push rod 4 with a brake arm 1 is slidably inserted into a slide hole 3 provided in the arm 1. A servo motor 7 is provided to the pedal arm 1 in a head-oscillating manner, and a thread shaft 8 is attached to the output shaft of the motor 7. A nut 12 is screwed with the thread shaft 8, and the pin 6 is fixed to the nut 12. The variations in the carrying loads are detected by a load sensor, and the detected value signal is sent to a potentiometer 14 where the signal is compared with a set value and an operating signal is sent to the servo motor 7. The motor 7 turns according to the signals and the pin 6 moves in a sliding manner, so that the lever ratios are varied with the variations in the carrying loads.
