    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 一部の気筒へ供給する吸気を遮断する吸気遮断弁と、該
    吸気遮断弁下流の吸気通路に開口して上記一部気筒へ空
    気あるいは排気ガスを導入するための通路と、該通路に
    設けられ該通路を開閉するための開閉弁とを備え、エン
    ジンの低負荷時に上記吸気遮断弁により一部気筒への吸
    気を遮断して減筒運転するとともに上記開閉弁を開いて
    空気あるいは排気ガスを導入するようにしたエンジンに
    おいて、上記開閉弁の開作動を上記吸気遮断弁の作動よ
    り遅らせる遅延装置を設けたことを特徴とする気筒数制
    御エンジン。
