Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the turning speed and reduce the distance for reversion in a device for turning a transported article on a conveyer in a 90-degree arc by providing a conveyer with a pusher for pushing a part of the articles on the conveyer in the opposite direction and further in the orthogonal direction to the running direction. CONSTITUTION:A pushing member 15 of the first advancing and retreating device 12 is located at a retreat position in the parallel and orthogonal directions of a conveyer 1. When an article A is brought close to or into contact with the pushing member 15, according to a command of a detector 30, an advancing and retreating device 16 is advanced in the opposite direction to the moving direction of the conveyer 1, so that a contact portion of the article A is pushed in the rejecting direction to be turned.
