Claims

In a hole nut type steering gear in which rotation of the steering shaft is transmitted to the sector shaft by meshing a hole nut with a worm gear portion of a steering shaft that is pivotally supported by a gear housing, and meshing a sector gear of a sector shaft with a rack of this pole nut. A just screw is screwed into the gear housing so that the sector shaft can be moved in the axial direction by the rotation of the just screw, and a rosette is screwed into the gear housing.
An electromagnetic lever device is installed between the plunger of the solenoid and the shaft end of the adjusting screw, and the adjusting screw is screwed by switching the switch of the solenoid. What is claimed is: 1. A mesh adjustment device, characterized in that the mesh adjustment device is mounted so as to rotate in a direction and is installed in a manner such that it can be rotated in a straight direction, and a neutral switch that is turned on when the steering wheel is positioned in a straight-ahead state is incorporated in the electric circuit.
