歯とセクタギヤとのかみ合い隙間を調整し得る形式のボ
ールねじ式ステアリング装置であって、前記のアジャス
トスクリューには、ウオームナツトのラック歯とセクタ
ギヤとのかみ合い隙間を詰める方向への回転力のみをこ
のアジャストスクリューに伝えるワンウェイクラッチを
介在して駆動レバーを取りつけ、一方前記セクタ・シャ
フトにはカムを形成し、車両の直進状態に対応するセク
タシャフトの中立位置において、このカムに常時接触の
転勤子の動きが前記アジャストスクリューの駆動レバー
に対してそのワンウェイクラッチがオンとなる方向の回
