DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method of connecting vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets used for the roofs of concrete buildings by wrapping them together.

Conventionally, when connecting vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets by wrapping them together, the connection was made by applying rubber glue (rubber organic solvent solution) or emulsion adhesive between the wraps, and then pressing the sheets together. According to this connection method, there are the following drawbacks. (1) Requires time for solvent volatilization: After applying the rubber glue, 0.0% time is required to volatilize the organic solvent.
It is necessary to leave it open to dry for about 5 to 2 hours.

Another reason is that reaction time is required for the chemical reaction to completely terminate the adhesive force. At construction sites for waterproof sheets, if external forces such as unevenness of the ground, movement, shrinkage of the sheet, or walking on the sheet are applied during the curing period after applying the tension, it may peel off and cause the adhesive surface to "float", which can be fatal to the rope. This may cause problems, so during the curing period, sandbags, etc. are placed on the connection surfaces to hold them down. However, this is generally not done when installing tarpaulin sheets as it is cumbersome. This problem occurs because most of the work is done using only the tackiness of the rubber glue and the weight of the rubber sheet.

In addition, when the temperature of the sheet increases due to direct sunlight, the residual solvent in the adhesive layer evaporates and expands, lifting the sheet.

However, it is desirable to lower the viscosity of rubber glue and other adhesives to improve application workability and wetting, but if the viscosity exceeds a certain level, wetting is poor and uniform application cannot be achieved, and if the viscosity is too low, the adhesive layer There are contradictory drawbacks, such as the difficulty of applying the same thickness to the desired thickness. If the adhesive is applied too thickly, it will be difficult for the solvent of the adhesive to volatilize, leading to the above-mentioned item (2) "I-Blistering".

There is also a connection method in which an unvulcanized rubber tape is sandwiched between the laps of vulcanized rubber sheets, and a press machine that heats from the outside is used to press and heat the tape, but when performing on-site construction, the press machine must be transported to the site. is difficult due to its large size.

Therefore, in this case, we have no choice but to use a connection method that heats and presses only from the soil surface of the lap to the concrete surface. Since the heating is from only one side, and from the outside, the welding between each waterproof sheet and the rubber sheet is extremely unstable. The object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art and to provide a lap connection method for obtaining an extremely reliable lap connection of a vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheet without poor adhesion. This is because the connection method involves lap-connecting the edges of vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheets using hot air at the construction site. After bonding the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 to the edge of the vulcanized rubber waterproof sheet 1 heated with hot air using a hand rail 4 which is installed at a distance so that the pressure rolls do not come into contact with each other, Hot air is applied between the bonded surface of the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 which is pressure-thermally bonded to the edge of the vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheet 1 and the edge of the other vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheet 7, and then manual vulcanization is performed. A method for connecting vulcanized rubber waterproof sheets is characterized by bonding under pressure using a pressure roll 8.

Moreover, in this case, the tape is wound into a roll with a separating material (release material) such as silicone release paper or polyethylene film interposed therebetween, which is advantageous when the tape is pressurized. In addition to this invention, what is a hot air blower?
This is a general-purpose hot air gun or flame machine used for welding VC sheets or plates.

Next, the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is adhered to the edge of the waterproof sheet 1. At this time, the temperature between the edge of the sheet 1 and the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is heated to 150°C using a hot air gun 3. The above hot air 5 is directly radiated.

Therefore, the surface of the sheet 1 and the surface of the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 that are directly exposed to the hot air are melted, so the surface of the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is melted.
By applying pressure from the outside of the hand roll 4, so-called hot-melt bonding is completed. here··
A silicone release paper 6 is placed on the outside of a roll-shaped non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 that is rotatably hung on a roll 4.
is formed, so even if the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is pressed with the hand roll 4, there is no fear that the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 and the roll 4 will stick together. Furthermore, once the adhesion of the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 to one of the waterproof sheets 1 is completed, as shown in FIG. The 2 parts of the non-vulcanized rubber tape of the waterproof sheet 1 are melted by direct irradiation of hot air between the bonding surfaces, and then the 2 portions of the non-vulcanized rubber tape of the waterproof sheet 1 are bonded using a manual pressure roll 8 to form a so-called hot melt adhesive. A lap joint between the adhered waterproof sheets 1 and 7 is formed. In this example, the temperature of the hot air blower was set at 150°C or higher, but it goes without saying that the hot air temperature varies depending on the material composition of the unvulcanized or unvulcanized blend tape and the construction conditions.

Next, the connection part obtained by the above-mentioned adhesion method of the present invention and the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 interposed between the lap parts of the waterproof sheets 1 and 7 used in one embodiment of the present invention, although not shown, are attached. A shear test and a peel test were conducted on the joints of the waterproof sheets 1 and 7, which were formed by adhering the waterproof sheets 1 and 7 on both sides with a CR rubber 9 adhesive, and the results were shown in the table below.

As described above, according to the connection method of the present invention, each time the front and back surfaces of a non-vulcanized or unvulcanized rubber tape that does not contain a solvent are bonded to each waterproof sheet, a connection is performed using the hot-melt bonding method using direct exposure to hot air. Since it is a seasoned material, the drying time required in the conventional method is unnecessary, and there is no need to worry about "lifting" or blistering after connecting the waterproof sheet due to solvent volatilization.

Furthermore, it has great industrial value, such as the fact that a large adhesive force close to the final adhesive force can be obtained immediately after the sheets are connected.

1 In a connection method in which the edges of vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheets are lap-connected using hot air at the construction site, a tape roll on which non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is wound into a roll and a pressure roll are in contact with each other. After the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 is bonded under pressure to the edge of the vulcanized rubber waterproof sheet 1 heated with hot air using a handrail 4 which is installed at a distance so as not to cause the vulcanized rubber waterproof sheet 1 to Hot air is applied between the adhesive surface of the non-vulcanized rubber tape 2 which has been pressurized and thermally bonded to the edge of the sheet and the edge of the other vulcanized rubber waterproof sheet 7, and then pressure is applied with a manual pressure roll 8. A method for connecting vulcanized rubber tarpaulin sheets, characterized by adhesion.
