However, when filling these fillers, it is difficult to fill all the corners of the article or container, and the packing loosens after filling, resulting in a decrease in cushioning properties. Recently, thermoplastic resin foams have come to be widely used as such cushioning materials. However, the thermoplastic resin foam is pre-molded according to the shape of the stored article, and it is necessary to use a foam having a different shape for different articles, which has the drawback of not being universally applicable. As a result of research to obtain a storage material with excellent cushioning properties that can be evenly filled into corners regardless of the shape of the article, the inventor found that foamed thermoplastic resin particles have fluidity and cushioning properties. However, if the foamed thermoplastic resin particles were used as they were, the product would be easily moved after being filled, and the foamed thermoplastic resin particles would scatter when unpacked, making handling inconvenient. Ta.

The present inventor has discovered that by mixing drying oil into foamed thermoplastic resin particles, the particles exhibit extremely excellent physical properties and are suitable for storing articles, and have completed the present invention. That is, the gist of the present invention is a method for storing articles, which comprises filling a container with a cushioning material made of foamed thermoplastic resin particles mixed with drying oil together with the articles to be stored. It is something to do.

The foamed thermoplastic resin particles used in the present invention are foamed polystyrene particles, foamed particles of a copolymer resin of styrene and a monomer that can be copolymerized with the same, or foamed particles of a polyolefin resin such as polyethylene or polypropylene, or a copolymer thereof. Expanded particles of polymer resins may be mentioned.
Examples of the drying oil to be mixed with the foamed thermoplastic resin particles include vegetable oils such as linseed oil, edible oil, tung oil, hempseed oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil, but are not limited thereto. A drying oil can also be used.

These drying oils contain a large amount of highly unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid, and when this thin layer is exposed to the air, it becomes a transparent resin. The mixing ratio of the foamed thermoplastic resin particles and the drying oil is in the range of 0.3 to 3 kg of drying oil per 1 m° of the foamed thermoplastic resin particles.

By mixing the drying oil, the drying oil adheres to the surface of the foamed thermoplastic resin particles and becomes sticky, but if the amount is less than the above-mentioned amount, the stickiness is insufficient and the particles are scattered. Further, if the amount of drying oil is greater than the above-mentioned amount, the drying oil may not be attached to the surface of the foamed thermoplastic resin particles and may flow out and contaminate containers and other surfaces, and the fluidity of the foamed particles may be impaired, which is not preferable. In the storage method of the present invention, articles to be stored are generally stored in a container such as a cardboard box or a wooden box, and the voids in the container are filled with foamed thermoplastic resin particles mixed with the above-mentioned drying oil.

Since the foamed thermoplastic resin particles have drying oil attached to their surfaces, they are somewhat sticky, but since they are not fixed, they are fluid and can be easily filled into the corners of voids. Therefore, the cushioning properties are extremely good. Furthermore, since the expanded particles are not scattered during unpacking, handling is easy. When storing items that are undesirable to come into contact with drying oil, it is desirable to package and fill the foamed thermoplastic resin particles mixed with drying oil with a thermoplastic resin film such as a polyethylene film bag.

By filling the bags in thermoplastic resin film bags in this way, it is possible to prevent drying oil from adhering to the stored items, and it is easy to fill and unpack the cushioning material, making it possible to store items extremely efficiently. becomes. Next, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a package containing an article M such as a metal product. In order to package the article M, first place polyethylene foam particles 2 in a container 1 such as a wooden box with linseed oil. A small amount of cushioning material mixed with drying oil such as the above is filled at the bottom, and the stored article M is placed thereon. Then, the cushioning material is then filled without any gaps, and then the lid is closed.

This cushioning material is made by adding about 1 kg of linseed oil per 1 m of polyethylene foam particles 2 and thoroughly mixing it so that the surface of the polyethylene foam particles is evenly coated with linseed oil. Although they are slightly adhered to each other, they are fluid and can be easily filled up to the corners of the container 1 and the stored articles M. The stored articles M are filled in a container 1 in a floating state in a cushioning material, and the polyethylene foam particles 2 of the cushioning material have good elasticity, so the cushioning effect is sufficient even against strong vibrations, and Therefore, the stored articles M are stored extremely safely. Figure 2 shows an example of using a filler in which a cushioning material made of polyethylene foam particles 2 mixed with drying oil is housed in a bag 3 made of polyethylene film. In the cushioning material, since the polyethylene foam particles 2 maintain fluidity as in the above example, the bag 3 itself deforms according to the shape of the container 1 and the stored articles M, and the stored articles M are stably stored. It has a holding effect.

When the bags 3 are used, even if there are some gaps between the bags 3 in the container 1, the effect will not be reduced. Moreover, the bag 3 sealed and formed like a pillow is easy to handle, and only the corners of the stored article M can be filled.
It is also the most economical because it can be stabilized and used repeatedly. Note that the bag 3 may be provided with small holes that are large enough to prevent the polyethylene foam particles 2 from falling out. The storage method of the present invention is to fill a container 1 such as a wooden box or a cardboard box with foamed thermoplastic resin particles such as foamed polyethylene particles 2 mixed with drying oil together with the articles to be stored. Because it is,
The stored article M can be stored extremely easily, and the corners can also be easily filled with cushioning material according to the shape of the article.
A package with excellent cushioning properties can be obtained.

Furthermore, since the foamed particles are sticky due to the drying oil, they do not scatter during filling or unpacking, and have the advantage that they can be used repeatedly as necessary.
