Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to achieve the lightening of a wheel and the cost reducing at manufacture by injection molding synthetic resin so as to cover the outer periphery of a ring, while setting the core metal for a steering wheel in molds and pressurizing the hollow inner part of the ring by oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:A core metal 1 is set in a stationary mold 12 and a movable mold 16, and inlet and outlet nozzles 17 for pouring are connected to the flowing through holes 18 of the core metal 1. Next, oil L is poured into a ring part 9 and spoke parts 7 from said inlet and outlet nozzle 17. While pressurizing said inner parts 9 and 7 by oil pressure, synthetic resin such as polypropylene resin, etc. is injected into the cavity through a sprue 15 and a runner 14 from a nozzle 11 and covers the outer periphery of the ring part 9, the spoke parts 7 and a spoke holding member 10. Then, the oil L in the ring part 9 and the spoke parts 7 is removed from the inlet and outlet nozzle 17. Accordingly, even if the ring part 9 and the spoke parts 7 have thin walls, they are not deformed by the injecting pressure at injection molding.

However, if this ring part is further made with Mn, there is a risk that the ring part will be crushed by the injection pressure when the outer periphery is coated with a synthetic resin such as vorapropylene resin, polysalt (B vinyl resin, etc.) by injection molding. Therefore, it has been difficult to achieve such a thin wall thickness.

Next, in order to use this embodiment, first, the mandrel 1 is installed in the fully fixed mold 12 and the movable mold 16, and the pouring nozzle 11 is connected to the flow hole 8 of the mandrel 1. Next, oil is injected into the ring part 9 and the spoke part 7 from the injection/input nozzle 11, and while pressurizing the same circle with hydraulic pressure, the sprue 15 is poured from the IJiWt nozzle 11 for synthetic packing such as polypropylene resin.
.. The synthetic resin is injected into the cavity 13 through the runner 14, and the outer circumferences of the ring portion 9, spoke portions 7, and spoke support member 10 are coated with the same synthetic resin. Thereafter, the oil in the ring portion 9 and the spoke portions 1 may be removed from the pouring/input nozzle 11.

Next, another example of the above embodiment will be explained with reference to FIG.
In this other example, the ring part 9 is formed into an independent ring shape by a hollow vibrator made of eyebrows etc. with a wall thickness of 0.4 to 1.6, and plate-shaped spokes 19 are adhered to the ring part 9. It is different from the previous embodiment in that it is attached by welding or the like, and two oil flow holes 8 are provided on the back side of the upper part of the ring part 9. The method and effect are similar.

Effects As described in detail above, the present invention provides a steering wheel guard 1 having a hollow ring portion 9 in a position type 12.
, 16, and the hollow inside of the same ring part 9 is filled with oil LlfV.
C. Therefore, while applying pressure, injection mold the synthetic resin so as to cover at least one outer circumference of the ring part 9, and then release the pressure inside the ring part 9 and remove the bending, so that the ring part is injected. Since there is no risk of deformation due to pressure, it is possible to reduce the wall thickness of the ring portion, which has an excellent effect of making the steering wheel lighter and more compact.
