Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the titled decoration in a short time using a simple device by semi-hardening a projected adhesive layer on the surface of glass comprising an ultraviolet ray hardenable ink forming then a metal transfer layer thereon, further baking the adhesive layer from the rear side. CONSTITUTION:A projected adhesive layer 2 is formed on the surface of a transparent glass bottle 1 by printing characters or patterns of specified shapes using an ultraviolet ray hardenable ink having superior affinity and adhesion. The surface of the layer 2 is then irradiated with ultraviolet rays using an ultraviolet ray irradiator 3 weakly for ca. 1 sec to dry the layer 2 forcible so as to attain semihardened state. After evaporating a metal on the surface of the layer 2, a sheet of hot stamping foil 4 is placed thereon, the foil is pressed with a hot elastic body 5. The metal foil remains only on the surface of the layer 2 when the foil is removed; thus a transfer layer 6 is formed. Finally, the layer 6 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays for ca. 5 sec from the rear side of the layer 2 through the glass to bake the layer 2 to the surface of the bottle 1.

Man . 3. Detailed Description of the Invention This invention (1) The surface of glass such as crow containers (2) A crow with the ability to print bright metallic letters or designs with a simple device and in a short time. This relates to a method of decorating the surface with glittering metallic letters or designs. Conventionally, in order to print glittering metallic letters or designs on the surface of a glass container, etc., synthetic resin-based ink was used. A method has been used in which characters or designs of a predetermined shape are printed using adhesive, and then metal foil is pressed on top of it (printing glittering metallic characters or designs 1). However, this method Then, it takes about 5 to 6 minutes to dry the adhesive layer to a semi-hardened state, and it also takes about 10 minutes to bake the metal foil after pressurizing it at a temperature of around 0°C. Currently, it takes about 30 minutes.Furthermore, since a base drying oven and a baking oven are used for baking, equipment and space are required, and the equipment costs are extremely high. Therefore, in view of these drawbacks, the present invention was developed. A raised adhesive layer is formed by printing a predetermined shape of letters or designs with ink, and this raised adhesive layer is force-dried to a semi-hardened state using an ultraviolet irradiation machine. After 1c, metal is applied to the surface of the raised adhesive layer. Layer the vapor-deposited hot stamping foils and use the heated elastic body to
The process consists in forming a transfer layer using a t@u method, and then irradiating ultraviolet rays from the back side of the raised adhesive layer for a predetermined period of time using an ultraviolet irradiation machine to bake it. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 in the figure is a transparent glass bottle used as a container for cosmetics, etc. On the surface of the glass of this glass bottle 1,
Rinawa 1 is an ultraviolet curable ink (UV ink) with excellent affinity and adhesion that cures once exposed to ultraviolet rays and becomes an adhesive to form letters or designs in a predetermined shape. The raised adhesive layer 2 is formed by printing. . Then, as shown in FIG. 1, the surface of the adhesive layer 2 is exposed to ultraviolet rays for about 1 second using an ultraviolet irradiator 3, and forced drying is performed so that the adhesive layer 2 becomes semi-cured. then the second
As shown in the figure, a hot stamping foil 4 on which a metal such as aluminum is vapor-deposited is superimposed on the surface of the adhesive layer 2, and a heating elastic body 5 is used to press the hot stamping foil 4 on top of the adhesive layer 2, and then the hot stamping foil 4 is removed ( The metal foil remains only on the surface of the adhesive layer 2 to form the transfer layer 6. Next, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, ultraviolet rays are irradiated from the back side of the adhesive layer 2 through the glass for about 5 seconds. This method is used to decorate the surface of the glass with glittering metallic letters or designs by "burning layer 1 and layer 2 of the JL glass in a very short time." With a simple device, it is possible to decorate the surface of glass such as glass containers with glittering metallic letters or designs. In other words, letters in a predetermined shape can be printed on the glass surface using ultraviolet curing ink that has good affinity and adhesion. Alternatively, a raised adhesive layer 2 is formed by printing a design, etc., and then hot stamping is performed as a metal 35 on the surface of the adhesive layer 2 semi-cured by ultraviolet rays h) When 4 is overlaid, only the portion of the layer 2 that contacts is hot stamped. Shima 4 remains glued, and since UV-curable ink hardens and dries in a short time due to UV rays, the metal foil can be bonded to the glass surface in a short time and with only a simple device such as an UV irradiator. After the adhesive layer 2 is forcibly dried to a semi-cured state using an ultraviolet irradiator 3, metal foils 1 to 4 stamped with metal vaporization are layered on the surface of the raised adhesive layer and heated. By forming the transfer layer 6 by pressing with the elastic body 5, the hot stamping foil 4 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to a semi-cured state where the adhesive effect of the adhesive layer 2 is maximized, so that the hot stamping foil 4 has a strong adhesive force on the adhesive layer 2. Further, the back surface of the raised adhesive layer 2 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays for a predetermined period of time by an ultraviolet irradiator 3 and baked (baked). Combined with the overlapping pressure Wl, the hot stamping foil 4 can be protected from deterioration due to ultraviolet rays, heat rays, etc., and moreover, it can be baked with strong adhesive force in λ0 hours, so it has high brightness. It is great to be able to decorate the glass surface with excellent metallic letters or designs. As explained above, this invention is superior in comparison to the case where an adhesive layer is formed using a conventional synthetic resin ink. As a result, the drying and baking time is greatly shortened, and the installation cost can be kept low by using only an ultraviolet irradiation machine without the need for a conventional base drying oven and baking oven. In addition, since the work is easy, the number of workers is reduced (this makes it possible to significantly reduce decoration costs, and furthermore, the hot stamping foil is not directly irradiated with ultraviolet rays). This provides excellent effects such as the ability to decorate the surface of the crow with metallic characters or designs that are rich in glitter. 4. Brief Description of the Drawings The drawings show embodiments of the invention. Figure 1 shows the adhesive layer dried to a semi-cured state. Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the main part of R, Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the main part when the transfer layer is formed, and Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the main part of the transfer layer. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the main part of IIIN, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the main part of the decoration completion opening 4, and FIG. 5 is a perspective view of crows decorated with glittering metallic letters.
