Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the nonuniformity of strength, by providing spoke insertion holes in a part of a plate so that load is carried not only by welded portions. CONSTITUTION:The butts 2a, 3a of spokes 2, 3 are welded while being inserted in spoke holes 6, 7, so that the load upon the spokes is carried not only by the welded portions but also by the other portions in the spoke holes 6, 7. For that reason, the quality of the welding does not much affect the strength of a metal core, and no special control is needed for the welding. In addition, the welded portions are protected from the load upon the spokes 2, 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a core metal of a steering wheel used in a steering device such as an automobile, and a core metal of this type includes an annular rim, spokes fixed to the rim, and spokes attached to the spokes. Fixed bosses or plates with integral boss portions are generally connected to each other by welding.

Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 each show an example of a conventional core metal, where a is a rim, b is a spoke, and C is a plate, to which a boss portion d is attached. .

In the case of the above-mentioned kimono construction, when a sword is added in the direction of the sum aK axis, the load will be received at the bath contact part of spoke b and grate c, so the strength of the bath contact part determines the strength of the core metal. It becomes a factor. However, the metal structure around the weld changes due to the heat generated during welding, and the strength tends to decrease.

Therefore, when repeated loads are applied to the welded portion, there is peace of mind that the bath contact portion has sufficient strength margin. However, in the case of a three-spoke type as illustrated in FIG. In the case of a two-spoke type as exemplified in Section 1, the load M applied to the welding part becomes large, so the quality of the welding part is required to be very high. Moreover, recently, efforts have been made to reduce the weight of the car body. In this case, it is even more desirable to prevent variations in the strength of welded parts.
It is essential to obtain stable strength.

The present invention has been made based on the above circumstances, and its purpose is to prevent the welding part alone from receiving a load at the joint between the plate and the spokes (C), due to the strength of this part. We are determined to provide a steering wheel core metal that can significantly reduce variations and exhibit stable performance.

That is, the present invention is such that a spoke insertion hole is formed in a part of the plate, the base of the spoke is inserted into the spoke insertion hole, and the spoke and the plate are brought into contact with each other at an appropriate position. This is the core metal of the steering wheel.

Spoke bases 2a' and 3a are inserted into the spoke insertion holes 6 and 7, respectively, and these spoke bases 2a and 3a are in contact with each of the rising walls 4a to 4d'lpC of the grate. . That is, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, spoke base portions 2a and Ja are welded around the spoke insertion holes 6 and 7 and at the tips of inwardly bent portions 4e and 4f formed in the upright wall. However, the welding part may be at a location other than this, or it may be welded only at a part of the welding part shown in FIG.
In short, it is sufficient to weld at an appropriate position taking into account the required strength, bath welding workability, etc.

本実施例は以上のようにスポーク基部2a。This embodiment uses the spoke base 2a as described above.

Since the spokes 3a are welded with the spokes 2 and 3 inserted into the spokes 6 and 7, the load applied to the spokes 2 and 3 is not only applied to the welded portion but also around the spokes 6 and 7. I can support you. Therefore, the strength of the core metal is less directly affected by the quality of welding than in conventional methods, and there is no need for special management of welding conditions, and it is possible to protect the welded part from the load applied to the spoke.

Note that FIG. 5 shows a modification of the grate 4, in which diagonal upright walls 4a, 4 are formed by pressing or the like.
A pair of spoke insertion holes 6 and 7 are formed in each of the rising walls 4-a and 4b by bending and forming the rising walls 4-a and 4-b, respectively, and the spoke bases 2a and 3 are formed in the above-mentioned rising walls 4-a and 4-b.
I am trying to insert a. In this case, if the spoke bases 2a, 3a are round or eve, the spoke insertion holes 6.7 will be oval. Then, as in the above embodiment, the periphery of the spoke insertion holes 6 and 7 or the rising edge 'M4
The spoke bases 2a and 3a are welded at the tip of C+'4d. It goes without saying that the bath contact area is not limited to the one place mentioned above.
In short, it is sufficient to weld at a suitable position according to the required strength or welding workability.

Further, as illustrated in FIG. 6, a pair of rising walls 4a, 4. The route 4 may be formed by bending only b, and the shape of the plate 4, the position of contact with the bath, the shape of the spokes 2 and 3, etc., may be changed within the scope of the spirit of chivalry. It can be transformed into various forms and used for ritual rituals.

Therefore, the load on the welded part is reduced, the strength variation is eliminated and the strength is stabilized (Kp), and the welding conditions and quality control of the welded part are also controlled, which improves work efficiency, which has great effects.
