Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of work in valcanizing and forming an elastic member between both upper and lower plate members by pouring liquefied elastic member through a knock pin hole, into which a knock pin is not yet inserted, made in either one of both upper and lower plate members. CONSTITUTION:An engine mounting 1 consists of an upper plate member 4 that is installed on the engine side by means of a bolt 6, a lower plate member 5 that is installed on the chassis side by means of a bolt 7, and an elastic member 10 that is arranged between the both members 4 and 5. The both members 4 and 5 are provided with knock pin holes 8, in which knock pins 9 are inserted. And a knock pin 9 is inserted into the knock pin hole 8 in the upper plate member 4. During the valcanizing work, liquefied elastic member is poured through the knock pin hole 8 in the lower plate member 5, and the elastic member 10 is formed by valcanizing it between both upper and lower plate members 4 and 5. With this contrivance, the knock pin hole 8 in the lower plate member 5 need not be pluged up, thereby enhancing efficiency in the valcanizing work.
