Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a folding device by guiding a belt-like material alternately from both sides to be supplied to a folding end portion position and be alternately wrapped round a folding end portion retaining member. CONSTITUTION:With the repetition of pivotal movement of a pair of film feed arms 55, a continuous bag-like member 2 on a receiving table is pressed at the central part thereof by a pressing plate 58 every time the arms 55 are laid down, an inserting member 62 is inserted through an overlapped notch, and moderate tension is applied to the continuous beg-like member 2 to form a fold reliably. The continuous bag-like member 2 is guided alternately from both sides by the paired arms 55 adapted to repeat pivotal movement to be supplied to a folding end portion position, whereby a supply mechanism 50 and a folding end retaining member will not collide with each other so as to considerably simplify the construction of the whole device.

By the way, as a device for folding the continuous bag-like member, the folding end position of each continuous bag-like member, which is a band-like member, is small (in other words, the device moves forward and backward from one side in the width direction of the band-like member toward the folded end position). The band-shaped member is held on the folded-end holding member while reciprocating between the folded-end holding member and the folded-end position of the band-shaped member in a straight line or in an arc along the longitudinal direction of the band-shaped member. The present applicant has already proposed a device equipped with a belt-like member feeding mechanism that supplies the belt-like members in a manner that they are wound alternately (Japanese Patent Application No. 57-5125, No. 5).
No. 7-9788, No. 58-1886). According to such a previously proposed folding device, there is no risk of damaging the band-shaped member, and the band-shaped member can be folded reliably and at a high speed. However, since the feeding mechanism reciprocates between the folding front end positions, the feeding mechanism and the folding end holding member do not collide with each other (which poses difficulties in operating both properly). There was also a difficulty in operating both the supply mechanism and the holding member using a common drive source.Of course, the previously proposed devices had solved these difficulties. However, this tends to make the overall structure of the device complicated.

Unlike the previously proposed device that is equipped with a feeding mechanism that reciprocates between the folding front end positions, the present invention uses a pair of film feeding arms that swing alternately to the folding end positions of the strip member. The strip member is supplied to the folded end position by alternately guiding the member from both sides (a strip member supplying mechanism is provided, and this feeding mechanism supplies at least the strip member at the folded end position of each of the strip members). The belt-shaped member is configured to be alternately wrapped around the folded end holding member that advances and retreats from one side in the width direction toward the folded end position, and the supply mechanism and the folded end holding member collide with each other. The purpose of the present invention is to achieve the above object by making it possible to operate the feed mechanism and the folded end holding member without any problem, thereby simplifying the connection and interlocking structure of the supply mechanism and the folded end holding member.

Since the continuous bag-like member 2 is alternately guided from both sides by a pair of film feed arms 55 that repeatedly oscillate and is supplied to the folded end position, it does not rotate like the previously proposed device. The mechanism that converts motion into linear reciprocating motion, the reciprocating supply mechanism, and the folding end holding member do not collide with each other (no mechanism or various devices for operation are required. Therefore, the entire device The configuration can be extremely simplified, and the movement of the entire device is also simple. Therefore, it is possible to operate at a higher speed than the previously proposed device, and has the effect of increasing the folding speed.

Also, since the number of parts is significantly reduced, each part is made thicker (
It is possible to increase the strength of the device, and it is also possible to apply sufficient force to each component, making it possible to ensure the folding operation. Furthermore, since the strength of the entire device is increased in this way, it can sufficiently withstand high-speed operation, and from this point of view as well, there is an effect that the folding speed is further improved.

Further, when the film feed arm 55 guides the continuous bag-like member 2 to the folded end position, the folded end and the pressing plate 56 apply appropriate tension to the continuous bag-like member 2 while maintaining the continuous bag-like member 2 at the folded end position. Since it acts to squeeze the member 2 (to smooth out wrinkles, etc.), the folding accuracy of the continuous bag-like member 2 is improved, and the continuous bag-like member 2 is folded accurately to a certain fold width and neatly without wrinkles. be able to.

Also, the film feed arm 55 is mounted on the pace block 96.
It has a structure in which the opening and closing wings 102, etc. are installed as a unit, and by moving the two left and right base blocks 96 in the horizontal direction and changing the spacing between both base blocks 96, various sizes can be created. The continuous bag-like member 2 can be folded to a folding width of , which is extremely convenient.

Furthermore, in the previously proposed device, the insertion member of the stock mechanism was moved up and down at appropriate timing because the feeding mechanism reciprocated between the positions of the front end of both folds and because it was necessary to insert the strip member reliably. In the embodiment, the continuous bag-like member 2 is fed to the folded end position by the swinging film feed arm 55, and the insertion member 62 is forcibly inserted into the notch 5 by the holding plate 58 attached to the arm 55. Because of this structure, there is no need to move the insertion member 62 up and down in synchronization with the folding operation of the folding device 40. I~ Therefore, the structure of the stock mechanism is also simple.

Note that in implementation, the member 104 is not necessarily required for the folding end receiver, but if the member 104 is provided for the folding end receiver, this receiver will be continuous between the member 104 and the opening/closing blade 102. Since the position of the folded end of the bag-like member 2 is firmly held, a part of the folded end of the bag-like member 2 is formed as a crease, etc. There is.

In addition, the mounting pin 57 is configured to be able to move forward and backward with the amount of advancement toward the pedestal 61 side being regulated, and to be biased toward the pedestal 61 side. 62 is also misaligned and the presser plate 58 is not lowered, so that the film feed arm 55 is not completely lowered, the mounting pin 57 resists the urging force and moves to the cradle 61.
The device may be forcibly moved to the opposite side, and this movement may activate a switch that stops the entire device. With this configuration, if the folding position shifts for some reason, it will automatically stop immediately, so it is convenient to minimize the number of defective products.
