Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a building rubber sheet exhibiting a great power of clamping nails hammered into the sheet and having a high strength, by blending an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer with an unvulcanized rubber and molding the mixture in an unvulcanized state into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:50-10pts.wt. ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer having a specific gravity of pref. 0.935-0.95 and optionally additives such as filler, parting agent, colorant, etc. are blended with 50-90pts.wt. unvulcanized rubber such as styrene rubber. The mixture is kneaded and molding into a sheet.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Technical Field] The present invention relates to a rubber sheet for construction. [Background Art] The majority of conventional rubber sheets for construction are vulcanized rubber sheets with excellent strength and weather resistance. However, the vulcanized rubber sheet has the disadvantage that if a nail or the like penetrates the sheet during or after construction, water can easily enter through the knife because it does not have the same tightening force as the vulcanized rubber sheet and the needles. In addition, with the unvulcanized rubber sheets that are used in some cases, even if a nail or the like penetrates the sheet, the tightening force between the unvulcanized rubber sheet and the amount of needles is large, so water may enter through the nails. Although it has the advantage of not having any oxidation, it has the disadvantage of being extremely weak.

The present invention is made by adding ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer to rubber and leaving it in an unvulcanized state. The clamping force between the rubber sheet and the cold paper that penetrates the rubber sheet is large (and strong, so it is suitable for waterproofing for construction). It can now be used for sheets and roofing materials.

The present invention will be explained in detail below. If the unvulcanized rubber used for the invention is unvulcanized rubber such as natural rubber, imprene rubber, styrene rubber, butyl rubber, butadiene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, hypalon rubber, urethane rubber, acrylic rubber, etc. Although not particularly limited, it is preferable to use styrene rubber, which has a good balance of strength, weather resistance, and economic efficiency. Regarding the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, the vinyl acetate content is not limited, and any ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer can be used, but preferably the ratio is 0°935 to 0.
It is desirable to use a material with a diameter of 950° from the viewpoint of strength and compatibility. In addition, fillers and reinforcing agents such as calcium carbonate, silica, clay, carbon black, and cotton powder, which are generally added to rubber compositions, mold release agents, tackifiers such as xylene resin and coumaron resin, process oil, and plasticizers. , colorants, and other additives can be added as necessary. The amount of the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer added to the rubber is not particularly limited, but it is preferably 50 to 90 parts by weight (hereinafter simply referred to as parts) of the rubber that has a good balance of strength and tightening force for 4 pieces, etc. It is desirable to add 50 to 10 parts of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer.
