Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an armature move smoothly, improve response and reduce the noise by perforating-through an oil flow gateway hole in the bottom plane of a core. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid is composed of an armature 4, an exciting coil 3 and a core 2 which is so provided as to cover the lower open end and the front and back side of a hollow core of the exciting coil. The armature 4 is so provided as to be able to move vertically in the hollow core of the exciting coil 3. These components are placed in a case 6 filled with oil 5 for insulation and cooling. An oil flow gateway hole 2b which is continuously connected to the hollow core of the exciting coil 3 is drilled in the bottom plane of the core 2. With this constitution, the oil 5 in the exciting coil 3 can be introduced into and discharged out of the coil 3 efficiently through the gateway hole 2b and the armature 4 can smoothly be moved vertically without producing the impact noise.

Prior Art The present applicant has filed an application (Japanese Patent Application No. 57-8695) in which the solenoid is immersed in oil in order to prevent burnout of the excitation coil and noise caused by I-pull during operation of the armature.

The above-mentioned solenoid was more effective than expected, but when operating the armature, for example, when the protruding armature moves instantaneously into the air core of the excitation coil, the oil that has entered the air core of the excitation coil is removed. Since there was no way to escape, the oil caused the problem that the rear armature was unable to move instantaneously due to the recoil force. On the other hand, even when the armature protruded, the flow of mail into the air core of the excitation coil was slow, so the armature could not move instantaneously due to the force of pulling it back.

In order to eliminate these problems, it is possible to increase the force by which the armature moves, but if the force by which the armature moves is increased, the reaction will also increase proportionally, causing the entire solenoid to vibrate violently, or There was a new defect, such as the generation of loud noise.
