Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost lubricating piece for pantograph slider which has excellent lubricating property and does not scatter, break or come off during operation, prepared by dispersing graphite and MoS2 homogeneously in a mixture of a specified wax and EVA. CONSTITUTION:The lubricating piece contains (A) 20-40pts.wt. low-molecular- weight polyethylene wax having a molecular weight of 500-1,500, (B) 20- 40pts.wt. petroleum wax, (C) 5-15pts.wt. ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, (D) 20-40pts.wt. MoS2. Combined use of components (A), (B) and (C) insures homogeneous dispersion of components (D) and (E) and prevents sedimentation in casting and forming operations and formation of air bubbles within the product. Thus a solid lubricating piece with a consistent lubricating effect is obtained.

Normally, a pantograph for a train is equipped with two boats, each of which has two rows of sliding plates, spaced apart and replaceable, that come in contact with the overhead contact lines. Various lubricating substances are supplied to the grooves formed between the sliding plates in order to prevent wear of the sliding plates.

Conventionally, grease mixed with graphite has been used as this lubricating substance, but its friction-reducing effect is not sufficient, and
The drawback was that the grease would scatter during driving or be washed away in large quantities by rain. To improve this, a flat plate made of sintered carbon was sandwiched between the sliding plates, but this was too expensive and had the disadvantage of breaking and falling off during use. Ta.

The present invention uses low molecular weight polyethylene wax with a specific molecular weight, 5-1 wax, and ethylene-acid picopolymer 4-mer (
By using a combination of graphite and molybdenum disulfide (hereinafter abbreviated as E V A) at a specific blending ratio, it is possible to uniformly disperse graphite and molybdenum disulfide, and even during the process of casting into a solid piece, molding, and making a product, graphite is It has been found that a solid lubricating piece having an extremely uniform friction-reducing effect can be obtained without sedimentation and separation, without generation of air bubbles, etc. in the waste product.

The lubricating piece of the present invention can be obtained by mixing the above-mentioned components by any method, casting, and cooling. For example, in one example, low molecular weight polyethylene wax and petroleum wax are completely melted in a container in an incubator, and then avA4 is added thereto and stirred to completely melt and mix. Further, graphite and molybdenum disulfide are added to this mixture and thoroughly mixed and stirred to prepare a lubricant solution. Next, it is press-fitted into a specified mold, cooled and drained, and removed to obtain a solid lubricating piece. If gully occurs, it is preferable to correct it as appropriate. The obtained solid piece is appropriately cut to a predetermined size, and in some cases, it is also preferable to attach adhesive tape or the like for convenience.

以下実施例を挙げて本発明につき説明する。The present invention will be explained below with reference to Examples.

Example 1 30 parts of low molecular weight polyethylene wax with an average molecular weight of about 900 and a softening point (ring and ball method) of 99°C and 30 parts of rough-in wax are completely melted in an incubator at 120-130'C. Next, 10 parts of EVA is added, maintained at the same temperature, and stirred to completely melt and mix. Further, while maintaining the same temperature, 295 parts of graphite powder and 05 parts of σ2 molybdenum sulfide are boiled, and mixed and stirred until bubbles disappear and the mixture is sufficiently dispersed.

Test Example 1 The solid lubricant piece of Example 1 was held between commonly used sintered metal sliding plates and subjected to a wear test under the following conditions. Table 1 shows the amount of wear. In the table, the trolley wire wear amount indicates the wear of the trolley wire when the pantograph is passed 10,000 times. For comparison, the results obtained when graphite-containing grease (Comparative Example 1) and graphite (Comparative Example 2) were used as lubricants are also listed.1. It can be seen from this that the lubricating piece of the present invention is extremely superior.
