    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. □一端に入力用の光ファイバが他端に複数本の出力用の
    光ファイバが連結されてなる光混合素子を有する光分岐
    器において、前記光混合素子は平板状に構成され、この
    平板状光混合素子は水平中心面から上下の面に向ってほ
    ぼ２乗で減少する屈折率分布を有し、かつ両側長手方向
    の平行な二つの面は互いに対向する面が全反射面となっ
    ていて、更に前記光混合素子の長さは光混合素子内の光
    信号の蛇行ピッチの舎の整数倍となっていることを特徴
    とする光分岐器。
