Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) A cathode, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a plurality of focusing electrodes are arranged in sequence along the tube axis, the cathode to the second electrode constitute a triode, and the plurality of focusing electrodes form an electrostatic focusing lens. The first electrode or the plurality of focusing electrodes each have an aperture through which three electron beams arranged in a row pass through, and at least the first electrode or the plurality of focusing electrodes facing the second electrode of the triode section each have an aperture through which three electron beams arranged in a row pass through. In an in-line array electron gun assembly for a color picture tube, in which a first focusing electrode of an electrostatic focusing lens portion forms a box-shaped electrode combining two cup-shaped electrodes, the first focusing electrode faces the second electrode of the first focusing electrode. The side cup-shaped electrode has a protrusion whose area perpendicular to the tube axis is smaller on the side facing the second electrode, and each electron beam is separated within the protrusion of the cup-shaped electrode. An electron gun assembly characterized in that an auxiliary member is disposed.
