Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In a color cathode ray tube in which an in-line electron gun consisting of a prefocus lens, a sublens, and a main lens is disposed in the neck, at least the electrode on the side of the prefocus lens among the electrodes on both sides of the three electrodes constituting the sublens. A color cathode ray tube characterized in that the electrode is provided with a shield made of a thin metal plate larger than the inner diameter of the neck, and the shield is in close contact with the inner wall of the neck.
