Conventionally, exothermic compositions that generate heat in the presence of air include:
A composition consisting of iron powder, inorganic salt, activated carbon, water retaining material, and water is known, but this conventional composition uses natural fibrous substances such as wood flour and rice hull powder, which are sensitive to moisture, as the water retaining material. Therefore, it may get moldy or go bad during storage.
Not only is it extremely unsanitary to use it as a thermal bag to keep the human body warm, but it also has the disadvantage of causing problems with oxidative heat generation.

In addition, in this type of exothermic composition that uses wood flour or the like as a water-retaining material, an alkali or a weak alkali salt aqueous solution is added at the time of making the cassette tiles, as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-26704. However, the use of such alkaline substances is not desirable in terms of the intended use of the composition.

According to the present invention, the heat-generating composition does not contain any water-retaining materials such as wood flour and rice hulls that have been used in the past, and instead contains a continuous foam or an inorganic foam, so that hygiene can be ensured. ) It does not cause any mold or spoilage, so there is no problem with oxidation heat generation, and (4) there is no need to use alkaline substances.
(5) Compared to conventional compositions using wood flour, etc., the composition consisting of components (a) to (d) above is easier to pack into bags due to the effects of base ash, etc. This has the advantage that the manufacturing operations for the thermal bags containing the gas are greatly streamlined (the production speed is significantly increased).

Among the components constituting the composition of the present invention, (a) iron powder may be a metallic iron powder and granules, and there are no particular restrictions as long as the particle size is not too large. (b) Inorganic salts include metal halide such as sodium chloride, potassium chloride, iron chloride, aluminum chloride, sodium sulfate,
Metal sulfates such as potassium sulfate, iron sulfate, magnesium sulfate, etc. are used, and (c) normal powdered activated carbon is used. (d) As the raw ash or inorganic foam, used are raw ash obtained by burning wood, straw, rice husk, tree leaves, etc., and inorganic foams such as perlite, biolite, vermilite, and the like.

An exothermic composition can be obtained by uniformly mixing each of the above components with (e) water and making it into powder, but (b) iron powder +
100) When i is 11 parts, the blending ratios of components (b) to (e) are approximately (b) 0.5 to 10 parts of inorganic salt, (c) 5 to 50 parts of activated carbon, and (d) 5 to 50 parts by weight of base ash or inorganic foam, and (e) 20 to 80 parts by weight of water.
It may be expressed as parts by weight. To give a specific example, 2.3 parts of common salt and 26M of activated carbon are added to 100 parts by weight of iron powder.
By uniformly mixing 15 parts by weight of raw ash, 15 parts by weight of raw ash, and 50 parts by weight of water, a composition that generates heat well in the presence of night air can be obtained.

The composition obtained in this way is sealed in a well-known bag and supplied to the general market as a thermal bag or heat-retaining bag, but this bag does not generate hydrogen during storage. It can be stored stably for a long period of time and has excellent heat generation properties.
