Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate impulsive noises of a switching type variable attenuation circuit by interrupting or grounding an output by a switching means before and after the time when the attenuation is switched. CONSTITUTION:The attenuation of an input waveform signal from an input terminal 1 is changed by applying a control signal from control signal input terminals 3, 3' to open or short-circuit IC switches 4, 4' and to change the amplitude of an output signal waveform. The attenuation is changed by applying a muting signal from a muting signal input terminal 7 and opening an IC switch 8 and short-circuiting an IC switch 9 to ground an output terminal 2 at the switching of attenuation. The IC switches 8, 9 are restored to the original state after the attenuation is changed over. Thus, the impulsive noises are prevented from being outputted.
