Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit to remove rust, coating, separatable paint or the like easily from a groove part by a method wherein a synthetic fiber brush, having abrasive grains, is formed into a disc shape and is driven by a motor while the ends of plates to be welded are ground by abutting the circumferential surface of the brush. CONSTITUTION:The shaft 16 of the motor 15 is inserted through the hole 11 of the disc brush 10 and is secured thereto while the switch of the motor 15 is put ON to rotate the disc brush 10 and the circumferential surface 17 of the brush 10 is abutted against the groove parts 1a, 2a of the steel plates. The circumferential surface 17 of the disc brush 10 grinds the groove parts 1a, 2a under being rotated while the same is deformed gradually so as to be intimated with the sectional shape between the groove parts 1a, 2a and grinds the details of both end parts. Nylon or the like is used as the material of the disc brush 10, therefore, the deformation may be effected in a short period of time. The disc brush 10 removes efficiently the rust, coatings, or the separatable paint on both groove parts to be welded only, and the same 10 will never grind the metallic parts of both ends.

In buildings such as high-pressure tanks where many steel plates are welded, the steel plates 1 and 2 are butted together and temporarily fixed using a jig 3, as shown in Figure 1, and sometimes a backing plate 4 is fixed before each plate is welded. The groove portions 1a and 2a of the steel plate are welded. Be sure to polish the groove parts 1a and 2a before welding.
Rust must be removed from each surface. Bevel portions 1a and 2
Even if anti-rust paint or peelable paint is applied to a, these must be peeled off or polished again before welding, and in any case, the polishing work cannot be omitted.

On the other hand, in the San1 Nolast method, high-pressure air and sand are circulated and sprayed onto the grooves to remove rust and paint. The disadvantage is that abrasion particles containing rust, paint, or sea salt particles may re-adhere to the grooves. Ru. Furthermore, the groove
If a backing plate is attached to the part, there is a possibility that abrasion powder may also enter between Vf1 between the groove part and the backing plate. It is clear that if these are left unattended and the welding is repeated from frame 1 to 11, defects will occur in the weld line.

In order to achieve such an object, in the present invention, an abrasive synthetic fiber brush is formed into a disk shape. The method is to apply pressure to the surface and polish it. This Ike's disc brush deforms over time to follow the shape of the gap in the groove, so it can efficiently remove rust, paint, etc., and it also prevents the surface of the groove from being scraped and deformed. . Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

An example of how such a disc brush 10 is used is shown in FIG. First, the IK controller 1iIiII 16 is inserted into the hole J of the disc brush 10 and firmly fixed. Next, turn on the motor 15 and turn on the noise brush 1.
0 is rotated to press the circumferential surface 17 of the plan 10 between the groove portions 1a and 2a of the steel plate. Disc brush 10
The circumferential surface 17 polishes the groove portions 1a and 2a while rotating t~, and gradually deforms along the cross-sectional shape between the groove portions 1a and 2a2, and also polishes the fine details.

Since a synthetic resin such as nylon is used as the material for the disc brush 10, the above-mentioned deformation can be performed in a short time. Also, the disc brush 10 has rust on the surface of the groove,
Efficiently removes only paint and strippable paint without grinding down to metal parts.
