Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A holding tool 36 which holds a clamping tool of a signal recording medium is fixed at the highest part of a shaft, and guide rails 37a and 37b are provided at the inner part of a recoding/reproducing device. A pickup which is capable of recording/reproducing slides along the rails 37a and 37b by a rack 39. A gear 40 is set at the rear side of an upper cover 20 and driven by a motor. Thus a clamping tool releaseing mechanism 42 set at the back of a dust cover 41 is driven. The cover 41 is attached to the cover 20 with a hinge 43 so that it can be freely opened and closed. The mechanism 42 includes a clamping tool holding rubber 44, a clamping state releasing pin 45, a release gear 46, a spring 47, a worm 48, a shaft 49, a gear 50 which engages the gear 40, and a mechanical base 51 respectively.
