Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the deflection of a tuning indicator with a simple constitution by applying a part of rhe output of an intermediate frequency amplifying circuit as the bias voltage of a diode reaching the tuning indicator. CONSTITUTION:The AGC voltage is applied to the base of a transistor TR9 of an intermediate frequency amplifying circuit 1 from a terminal (a). The gain of the TR9 is reduced when the AGC voltage is increased, and therefore the current of the TR9 is reduced. Then the collector potential of the TR9 rises up. As a result, the forward bias is applied by a diode 2 and a large current flows to a TR7. This increases the deflection of a tuning indicator 6. While the collector potential of the TR9 drops with an weak input, and therefore the bias voltage applied to the diode 2 drops. Then a part of the intermediate frequency output is applied in more quantity to the base of the TR7 through the diode 2. This increases the deflection of the indicator 6.

Generally, when constructing a tuning instruction device in a radio receiver or the like, as shown in FIG. The signal is rectified and smoothed by a transistor 6, etc., and applied to a transistor 7 connected in series to a tuning indicator meter 6. However, in this type of device, there is a problem that the deviation of the meter 6 corresponds one-to-one to the level change of the intermediate frequency signal, and it is not possible to obtain a large change. Especially when the input is weak, diode 2
, 3 may turn off, causing the problem that the deviation of the meter 6 becomes significantly worse.

The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks and provides an excellent tuning indicating device that can increase the deviation of the meter with a simple configuration.

In the above embodiment, the transistor 90 has a terminal a.
ABC voltage is applied. When the input becomes large, the AGC voltage acts to reduce the pace and emitter voltage of the transistor 9 and lower the gain, so the current flowing through the transistor 9 becomes smaller and its collector potential increases. Therefore, in this case, a forward bias is applied to diode 2,
A large amount of current will flow through the transistor 7. Therefore, the deflection of the meter 6 becomes considerably larger than that of the conventional meter. On the other hand, when the input is weak, the collector potential of the transistor 9 decreases and the bias voltage applied to the diode 2 decreases, but compared to the conventional non-biased one, a part of the intermediate frequency output passes through the diode 2 and is transferred to the transistor 7. By adding to the base of the meter, the deflection of the meter can be increased in this case as well compared to the conventional one.

As is clear from the above embodiments, according to the tuning instruction device of the present invention, the deflection of the meter can be made considerably larger than that of the conventional device, and the tuning instruction can be easily recognized. Particularly, according to the present invention, it is possible to give a clear tuning instruction even in the case of a weak input, which is extremely advantageous in practice.
