Abstract

PURPOSE:A hair treating agent, consisting of a combination of a solution of collagen in a dilute acid and a regenerating solution of collagen fibers, and capable of imparting a strong set holding power to hair without giving chemical changes to the hair. CONSTITUTION:A hair treating agent consisting of a solution of collagen in a dilute acid containing natural collagen extracted from animal tissues with a dilute aqueous solution of an acid (>=10<-3>M acid concentration) in an amount within 0.01-2wt% range as the first agent and a regenerating solution of collagen fibers, e.g. an aqueous solution of a water-soluble salt, pH buffer agent, e.g. partial sodium salt of citric acid, alkaline substance and protein precipitating agent, e.g. picric acid or chromic acid, as the second agent. The first and the second agents are mixed just before the treatment of the hair, and brought into contact with the washed hair in the same manner as a hair rinse agent and allowed to stand for several minutes to regenerate the collagen fibers. The hair is then lightly rinsed to remove excess water, set in a favorite hair style and dried in hot air. Thus, waves having improved water resistance, strong set holding power and good feeling are obtained.

The method for fixing the hairstyle involves chemically treating the hair using two liquids, an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent, to cleave the sulfur-containing amino is bond, and after shaping the hair into the desired hairstyle, rebonding it. There are permanent treatment methods that provide hair set retention for a long period of time, and methods that do not chemically change the hair and provide hair set retention for a very short period of time.

On the other hand, hair cosmetics such as setting lotions, hair sets, and hair sprays are usually used as methods that do not cause chemical changes to the hair.
- A type that fixes the hairstyle by forming a thin film on the hair surface, and a type that applies moisture to the hair to loosen the hydrogen bonds in the hair, then heat and dry it to form a hydrogen bond that matches the hairstyle. There is a type that causes re-formation.

Types that use polymers give the hair a stiff feel, and also have the disadvantage that if a large amount of polymer is used to increase the holding power of the O hairstyle, which gives the hair a feeling of weight, the hair becomes sticky and easily dirty.

The type that uses hydrogen bonds requires only spraying with water and then drying with hot air; however, it has many drawbacks such as poor hairstyle retention and loss of hair luster, so methods that use polymers are usually used as an auxiliary method. Furthermore, a common drawback of these methods is that the hairstyle can easily become ruined when exposed to moisture, especially rain.

The present inventors have conducted repeated research to develop a new hair treatment agent that does not damage hair and eliminates various drawbacks of conventional methods that use synthetic polymers such as setting lotions. discovered that the desired effects could be obtained by using undenatured collagen extracted from various animal tissues, and completed the present invention.

The present invention provides a hair treatment agent that uses a dilute acid solution of collagen as the first agent and a collagen fiber regenerating solution as the second agent, and that is used by mixing the first agent and the second agent immediately before applying to the hair. It is.

The collagen used in the present invention is animal connective tissue,
! ! It is a fibrous hard protein that exists in tissues such as bone, cartilage, dermis, sinus zone, and fascia, and is usually extracted from these tissues with a dilute aqueous acid solution. As the acid used for collagen extraction, acids conventionally known as collagen extractants such as hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, oxalic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, and citric acid can be used.

As an extractant for collagen, an acid concentration of 10''M or more, preferably 10''M or more is suitable, since collagen cannot be extracted if the acid concentration is 10-'M or less. Also,
A PH buffer may be included within a range that does not affect the extraction effect. Collagen suitable for the present invention is required to regenerate collagen fibers, and since hydrolyzing collagen does not regenerate fibers, it is important to use natural collagen extracted from animal tissues and not chemically denatured. .

The pH binding agent is preferably one that makes the pH of the collagen dilute acid solution about 4.5 or more, particularly weakly acidic to neutral, such as partial sodium salt of citric acid and partial sodium salt of acetic acid. Further, since the alkaline substance increases the pH of the dilute acid solution of collagen and thereby causes the regeneration of collagen fibers, there is no particular restriction on the type of alkaline substance, and any substance can be used. Picric acid, flavian acid, chromic acid, phosphotungstic acid, and the like are known as protein precipitants. The concentration of these drugs in the collagen fiber regeneration solution is not particularly limited as long as the solution state can be maintained, but 0.1 to 20% by weight is practically appropriate.
