Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable emission of a deceleration command in an optimum time according to the speed of a press machine by measuring the traveling length of a material terminal in accordance with the detection signal from a terminal detector provided to an un-coiler, comparing the same with a set value and emitting the deceleration command. CONSTITUTION:A high speed press device is constituted so as to feed a material 1 fed from an un-coiler 2 via a roll feed 3 to a press machine 4. A switch 8 in such a press device is actuated by the detection signal from a terminal detector 7 provided to the un-coiler 2 to open an AND gate 9 which passes the output pulse generated from an encoder 5 provided to the feed 3 and corresponding to the rotation thereof to a counter 10. The counter counts the traveling length of the material terminal from the un-coiler 2. The traveling extent is compared with the set distance value from a digital switch 6, and when the terminal arrives at the distance lm in the position where a deceleration command is to be emitted, a transistor 13 is turned on via an amplifier 12 by the output from a comparator 11, by which a relay 14 is actuated to emit the deceleration command to the press machine.

法は、光電管、リミットスイッチ、近接スイッチ等を用
いて固定的位置で材料の有無を判定し無くなったときに
減速指令を出すようにしていた。このように固定位置に
て減速指令を出す場合、最高速度の際でも空行にならな
いように設定しなければならない。そのため中間速度で
の使用時には材料が余分に余り、これを低速で動作させ
るのは非能率であった。
