したリーディング・トレーリング形ドラムブレーキに比
較し、ブレーキカム、アンカービンが1個づつ多くなシ
それだけ構造が複雑となっている。しかもこれらのブレ
ーキ構成部品は、ブレーキプレートの円周上に配置され
る構造上、その取付スペースを確保する必要性から、ブ
レーキシューの長さが短くなり、その結果ブレーキライ
ニングの摩擦面積が減少する。また部品点数が増えて重
量が増加するため、製作コスト75(嵩みかつ組付に手
