Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop a coke oven operating machine in place with high accuracy, by fixing a clamping device onto a rail and moving the machine in the running direction from the clamping device side by means of an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A truck 3 for a coke oven operating machine is attached to the bottom of a machine body frame 1 with a two-rod cylinder 5 which is fixed at an intermediate position under ordinary conditions of operation. When the machine is roughly set to the center line on which the machine is to be positioned, a rail 12 is fixed by a clamping device 4 and the truck 3 is fixed to the rail in the running direction by the clamping device 4 in this state. The discrepancy between the roughly set position and the oven center line is detected visually or by means of an oven center line sensor and the two-rod cylinder is set in motion so that rod (a) may go in and rod (b) may come out, leading to movement of the machine body frame 1 in X direction. When the rod (a) comes out and the rod (b) goes in, the machine body frame 1 moves in Y direction to be positioned in place with high accuracy.
