Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve response, by a method wherein a smoke detector is positioned on a path running from the air outlet of a defroster to the rear of a car room through a car ceiling, and in response to a signal from an oscillator for responding to the use of a smoking device mounted to a car room, a defroster is adapted to be brought to a blow-off mode. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 20 for responding to the use of a cigarette lighter or a switch 21 for responding to drawing out of an ash tray is operated, the contact of a relay 22 is closed, a blast motor 8 is charged with a micro-current irrespective of operation of a manual switch 11 to cause an air conditioner to generate an air flow. With electromagnetic valves 16 and 18 energized, diaphragm actuators 17 and 19 are operated and dampers 9 and 10 are driven to bring a defroster into a blow off mode. Thus, smoke particles 23, in a car room flows as shown by an arrow mark, to the rear through the ceiling of a car room, and is concentrated on a smoke detector 1.
