Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a die change with good efficiency by fixing temporarily the 3rd transfer bar in the dividing position of each transfer bar then moving upward two units of moving bolsters at the same time to divide simultaneously the respective transfer bars and connecting the same by the means reverse therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The 3rd transfer bar B3 is fixed temporarily to a central upright 12 in the dividing positions of transfer bars B1-B5, and the 1st and 2nd moving bolsters MB1, MB2 are moved upward to support the 2nd and 4th transfer bars B2, B4, whereafter the 1st and 2nd transfer bars B1, B2 are moved to the feed side and the 4th and 5th transfer bars B4, B5 to the delivery side, thereby dividing the transfer bars. The connection of the bars B1-B5 is accomplished in the procedure reverse thereabove. The time for division and connection is thus reduced and the efficiency in the die change is correspondingly improved.
