Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 １９８２年１１月１９日出順の米因／時ＷＦ出願第４４
３１３７号のエラストマ−４？リテトラフルオロエチレ
ン槓層品ストレッチ性の履物製品、ストレッチ性の一体
の履物製品又はストレッチ性の着脱しうる履物製品とし
て極めて有用であることがわかった。
本発明の目的は通気性であるがそれにもかかわらず外部
からの水の侵入を防ぐ覆物製品を創作することである。
さらに履物品の防水性かつ通気性に加えて、それらがス
トレッチの識別特性を有することが望ましい。広い概念
で「ストレッチ」は着用するのに気持ちよさのファクタ
ーとして規定されてよい。ストレッチは気持ちよさ、で
きぐあい、減少したしわ、改良された防しわ性、はとん
どないサイズのための必要性及びより大きなデザインの
柔軟性のような多くの利点を消費者に与える。
ストレッチ性織物は編まれるか又は織られるかのいずれ
かであシ得る。
その識別はそのもとの寸法を越えてストレッチされ、次
いで開放した時のもとの寸法に回復する能力でわかる。
同時係属の米国特許出願第４４　：３．１３７号の防水
かつ通気性多孔質のポリテトラフルオロエチレン（ＰＴ
ＦＥ　）積層品は機械的に２００〜３００％までストレ
ッチされ得る。エラストマー材料は１００サイクルに対
して平均５１．５％の弾性回復を有して形成された。加
うるにＰＴＦＥ積層品の機械的ストレッチにより、エラ
ストマー親水性層の連続的な結着性は阻止されず、１シ
水性層の連続性は保持され、これによって通気性、防水
性を維持し、ストレッチ性をもち込むということが発見
された。
疎水性層はストレッチ可能であり、４２５％の縦方向の
伸びと４０５％の横方向の伸びを有し、親水性層はスト
レッチ可能であシ１５４％の縦方向の伸びと横方向の伸
びを有する。Ｊｊ／、水性層は親水性層に積層されると
、親水性層はストレッチ性、？？水性層に弾性回復を与
えるということが見い出された（表１参照）。
防水かつ通気性の多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン積
層品は発泡連続微孔性ポリテトラフルオロエチレンのよ
うなＩＬ水性材料の第一層と、それと層状接触するポリ
エーテル−ポリウレタンのような親水性ニジストマー材
料の第二層とを含んでなり、肉層は互いに連続的なから
み合い相になっている。
最近の発明（米国特許第４１９４０４１号）は悪気侯条
件下でも高い透湿速度を有する防水かつ通気性ポリテト
ラフルオロエチレ７　（ＰＴＦＥ）　ＦｒｃＲ品を与え
た。そのような積層品及びその改良品はＷ、Ｌ、ゴアア
ンドアソシェーツ社から商業的に入手が可能である。米
国特許＠４，１９４，０４１号の防水かつ通気性積層品
は１０００１１ｍｅ／ｍ”　ｄａｙ　以上の透湿速度、
９０°以上の水の前進接触角を有する微孔性コ東水性材
料の柔軟な第一層並びに第一層の内面に接着されこれに
よって１０００１　ｍｓ／ｍ”ｄａｙ以上の透湿速度を
有し、約２４傭の水頗及び約１７２　ＫＮ／ｍ２の静水
圧で３０秒間液体の水の探知できる通過を可能にしない
連続的な親水性エラストマー材料の第二層からなる。
前記積層品において使用される発泡ポリテトラフルオロ
エチレン（ＰＴＦＥ　）の微孔性膜は米国特許第３，９
５３，５６６号によって与えられた。そのような膜及び
その改良品はＷ、Ｌ、ゴアアンドアソシェーツ社販売の
発録商標ＧＯＲＥ　−ＴＥＸの下で間業的に入手可能で
ある。これらの発泡多孔質ｐ’ｌ”ＦＥ　Ｉｌｌは水蒸
気の流れに対して透過性である一方で防水性であるとい
う要求を満足している。その発泡多孔質ＰＴＦＥ膜は本
来Ｊ氷水性であし、相当圧又は摩耗もしくは屈曲時でも
液体の水の侵入を妨げる極めて小さい孔を含むが、しか
し水Ｍヴを含むがスの流れを容易に許容するものである
。吸上材料と違って通気性は衣服内部又は膜の内面上の
液体の水の蒸発、次いで膜を通しての水蒸気の外部への
ブスの流動又は拡散によって達せられる。
従って本発明の目的は一体の履物品、着脱しうる履物品
又は履物品として防水かつ通気性エラストマープリテト
ラフルオロエチレンｔｉｆＩ：提供することである。
履物産業において履物のサイズが重要であることは飛翅
の事実である。さらに履物を形成するのに使用される材
料は正確で精密なサイズに切られなければならない。正
確な切削は特に一層以上が使用される場合、追加的な問
題を与え、そして各層は履物品を形成するのに全く同じ
ように調和しなければならない。
エラストマーの微孔性ＰＴＦＥ積層品は区の直ぐ次の材
料と履物の外部材料との間のサンドイッチされた層とし
て使用された。
エラストマーの微孔性ＰＴＦＥ　積層品はストレッチ性
織物、例えば軽量ナイロン織物に接着し、履物品用の内
部ライナーとして着用した。
エラストマーの微孔性ＰＴＦＥは非エラストマー防水性
積層品と紹み合わせて・やネル形状で使用した。エラス
トマーの微孔性Ｐ　ＴＦＥのパネルは適当なできぐあい
を保証するための長さと幅のストレ、チ性を与える。
ストレッチ性織物に接着されたエラストマーの微孔性Ｐ
ＴＦＥを利用する履物用に適当なできぐあいを与える最
も効果的な方法は型を合わせた内部ライナーである。こ
の技術はブーツに一体となった実質的には内側にある型
を合わせたライニング金倉んでいる。ブーツは履物にお
けるステイフナによって上部に浸透されない。型を合わ
せるライナーは中央の底に対して不浸透性の接着剤と共
に続くか又は移動可能にされたものであった。ストレッ
チ性材料又はストレッチ性材料のノやネルは気持のよい
良好なできぐあいを保証するために横の惜・の柔軟性及
び長さの柔軟性を与える。水は足につくことはできない
。
次の例は本発明の例証であり、限定される意図のもので
はない。
例１ 一個の履物を製造して履物に適当なＧＯＲＥ　−ＴＥＸ
＊’＋ｈ物にヒートシールされた防水かつ通気性のエラ
ストマー微孔性ＰＴＦＥのノ４ネルを使用した。
エラストマー微孔性Ｐ　ＴＦＥを根本的に２つの部分で
使用した。一つは足の甲の中央を通して足指の部分まで
のス）　ＩＪッグである。これは気持のよいできぐあい
を保証するのに必砂な横幅の柔軟性金与えよう。第二の
部分はがかとの部分であって気持ちのよいできぐあいを
保証するのに必要な長さ方向の柔軟性を与えよう。履物
のその一つは気持ちよく合わせたソックスでめった。
ＧＯＲＥ　−ＴＥＸ　＄＆物ノソ、クスは通気性ヲ１１
ｉｆ：ｒｆする一方で全体的に防水性であった。さらに
それらは極めて軽量で気持よく型に合ったものであった
。
気持ちのよい型に合ったソックスをテストしたが、破損
せずにＭａｒｔＩｎｄａｌｅ　湿式摩耗に対して８００
サイクルを棚え、Ｍｍｅａｅｒ　透水性において１００
．０００サイクルを砿え、２００，０００サイクルを呻
えたｖｐｍ屈曲であった。静水圧試験下でソックスは２
５帰水頭で１５分間液体の水を通過させなかった。ソッ
クスの浸漬試験は水の内側への侵入を示さなかった。
これらのソックスを規則試験した。その方法は次のよう
であった。

    ッチ及び回復性を有し、かっｔｏｏ。 １１ｍ５／ｍ２ｄａｙ以上の透湿速度を有するエラスト
    マーの親水性内部層、 前記親水性層と層状に接触する、ストレッチ及び回復性
    を有する繊維外部層、 を層状に組合せてなる防水かつ通気性、のストレッチ性
    履物製品。 ２、　．７＊水性層が発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレン
    の微孔性シートを含んでなる特許請求の範囲第１項記載
    の履物製品。 ３、Ｒ水性／々水性のからみ合い層が接着剤点の開放／
    ４’ターンによりて外部層に接着されている特許請求の
    範囲第１項記載の履物製品。 ４、履物製品が気持ちのよい適合したソックスである特
    許請求の範囲第１項記載の履物製品。 ５、履物製品が７９ネルを有する気持ちのよい適合した
    ソックスであり、前記ノやネルは防水かつ通気性のスト
    レッチ性積層品でできている特許請求の範囲第１項記載
    の履物製品。 ６、履物製品が移動できるライナーである特許請求の範
    囲第１項記載の履物製品。 ７、履物製品がライニスグである特許請求の範囲第１項
    記載の履物製品。 ８、　１０００１ｍｔ７’ｍ″ｄａｙ以上の透湿速度及
    び９０°以上の水の前進接触角を有する連続したＪ＃水
    性層、 前記１に水性層と連続的なからみ合い相にあシ、ストレ
    ッチ及び回復性を有し、かつ１００１００Ｏ／ｍ”　ｄ
    ａｙ以上の透湿速度を有するエラストマーの親水性内部
    層、 を層状に組み合せてなる防水かつ通気性のストレッチ性
    履物製品。 ９．　３１水性層が発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレンの
    微孔性シートを含んでなる特許請求の範囲第８項記載の
    履物製品。 １０、履物製品が気持ちのよい適合したソックスである
