Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce damage to the boot part caused by flying stones, by furnishing a protector made of a stiff substance enclosing the free end of a slide pin and by installing a rubber boot stretching over from this free end to the periphery of the pin. CONSTITUTION:In this device for a disc brake, a slide pin 12 provided with an outside circumferential groove 12a fixed to a fixation supporting member 11 penetrates, in sliding, an opening 16 provided in the boss part of callipers to hold them movably in the axial direction of rotor. Here the minor-diameter cylindrical part on the open end side of a protector 14 in the form of a cylinder with its one end opened is fixed to said opening 16, and the inside surface of this minor part is so formed as to fit in sliding to the periphery of the pin 12, and then the closed end side shall be given a larger diameter and formed so as to enclose the free end of the pin 12 with a certain gap retained. One of the ends of a rubber boot 15 having a drum in the form of bellowsis fastened on the pin 12 in its peripheral groove 12a, and the other end is fastened in an outside circumferential groove 14a formed at the edge part of the open end of protector 14. は、これを剛性体により形成してゴムブーツが飛石ある
いはスライドビン端の角部により損傷される虞れを低減
化させたのである。而して本発明の要旨は、ローター縁
部に跨座するよう配設されたキャリパ又は車体に固定さ
れた固定支持体のいずれか一方に形成された開口に対し
、前記キャリパ又は161定支持体に片持様に組付は固
定されたスライドビンが前記開口に貫通滑合してキャリ
パをローター軸方向移動可能に支持する滑動支持装置に
おいて、前記開口には、スライドビンの自由端を袋状に
包む形状の一端開放筒状の剛性体よりなるプロテクタを
嵌着し、このプロテクタの開放端とスライドビン外周に
渡ってゴムブーツを架設したことを特徴とするディスク
ブレーキの滑動支持装置にある。
