Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify manufacturing process and heighten efficiency by forming the core member of a wheel for a torque converter and a retainer member in a body by the same material, and cutting with V-shaped edges in separating it by two lines, and thereby eliminating necessity of finishing of cut edges. CONSTITUTION:The core member 1 of a wheel for a torque converter and a retainer member 5 are drawn into a body using the same material. Then, it is cut by press working along two adjoining lines 3, 3 to obtain a core member 1 and a retainer member 2. In this case, cutting is made by V-shaped cutting edges 4, 4 to make inner edges 5, 6 of the two members 1, 2 faces slanting outward to each other.
