(3) Prior Art and Problems An example of such a banknote accommodating device is shown in FIG. The input section IK is provided with a banknote input slot 2 and a take-in roller 3, and the input banknotes are taken one by one into the apparatus along a conveyance path 5 by a take-in mechanism 23. The banknotes moving on the conveyance path 5 are checked in the checking section 4 for authenticity, type 111, and front and back sides. Based on the discrimination result, if the banknote is a fake banknote, the gate 6 is driven to store the banknote in the reject box 7. In the case of genuine banknotes, the gate 6 does not operate, and the banknotes pass through the reset gate 6 and are stored along the conveyance path 5 in a predetermined banknote according to the type of banknote among the four banknote storage boxes 13. It is transported to the position of the storage box 13. When the banknote is on the front side, the first gate 8 is driven and the banknote is put into the front side ott pool box 1 box 0, and when the banknote is on the back side, the banknote is passed through without driving the first gate 8. Then, the second gate 9 is driven, the front and back sides of the banknotes are reversed, and the banknotes are taken into the pool box 10.

It should be noted that it is not necessary to provide the second gate 9 to the pool box 10 on the final banknote storage box 13.The nine sheets of paper are transported until they are empty, and all of the nine papers are turned inside out and stored in the final pool box 10. When all the banknotes in the bundle of banknotes inputted into the input unit 1 are discriminated, classified according to type, and stored in a predetermined pool box 1O, and the gold II is S1g, the bottom plate 11 of each pool box 1o is moved by the arrow M0. The pool box 10 of such a bill storage device has a limit on the number of bills it can accommodate, and when more bills than this limit are inserted into the input section IK, one pool box 10 is -jI! When the number of bills is reached, charging is temporarily stopped, the bills in the pool box 10 are collected, and then the bills are stored in the pool box again. Therefore, if there is a discrepancy in the amount of banknotes input, the banknotes in the pool box are collected during the process, so it is not possible to determine at what stage an error occurred, and all banknotes must be counted again.

(4) Purpose of the Invention The present invention is an improvement to the above point, and when more than the limit number of banknotes is put into one pool box, the operation of the device is stopped midway and the banknotes are collected. To provide a banknote accommodating device capable of continuously accommodating banknotes without any interruption.

(5) Structure of the invention Therefore, in the present invention, when a predetermined limited number of paper sheets is stored in a 1-piece paper sheet storage box (pool box), an additional 0 paper sheets of the same type as the 0-piece paper sheet storage box (pool box) is stored. A storage box for over 7D- for storing paper sheets is provided, and the drive circuit of the switching gate for introducing paper sheets into the storage box for over 7P is discriminated by the above-mentioned discrimination section. It is connected to a counter circuit and manual switch for counting the number of sheets.

d further includes a counterfeit banknote 41e and a front/back discrimination signal f.
The signal is configured to be sent to the gate drive circuit 23 at the same time. The output side of each of the counter circuits 248 to 24d is connected to an OS* circuit 27 for converting the number of banknotes counted by each counter circuit into a monetary amount and totaling the total amount, and the HIO totaling circuit 27 is further connected to a display 28 for inputting the banknotes. The total amount of banknotes issued will be displayed. The output side of each counter circuit 241 to 24d is further connected to an overflow gate drive circuit 26 via a logic circuit 25. This logic circuit 25 is for driving the overflow gate drive circuit 26 when any one of the counter circuits 241 to 24d counts a predetermined number of zero sheets corresponding to the limited number of pool boxes accommodated. A manual switch 29 is further connected to the overflow gate drive circuit 26, so that the overflow gate 1g can be operated regardless of the signal from the counter circuit.

Next, the operation of this circuit will be explained. 10 pool boxes each
When the number of banknotes accommodated is less than a predetermined limit number, the inserted banknote is passed to the discrimination device 22, which discriminates its IIIf and front and back, and the gate drive circuit 2 according to the discrimination result IK.
3 to the banknote storage box 13 (according to the banknote osi*)
211) The upper O gate 8 or 9 is driven to store the banknote in a predetermined pool box IO with the front and back sides aligned. ! Furthermore, the counter circuits 24 to 24d corresponding to the type of banknote according to the classification result of the recognition device 23 count the zero number of banknotes. When one of the counter circuits 241 to 24dO counts a predetermined limited number of bills and further bills of the same type are sent, the logic 11 circuit 25 operates and the over 7o gate drive circuit 26 is driven. As a result, the gate 18 for over 70- operates and the banknotes for over 70-

The operation of the over-70 gate 18 will be explained based on FIG. Overflow game) 18 is the rotation axis 1851
It consists of one piece of glue 18b arranged perpendicularly to the 111kO drawing determined by KIN, and each gate piece 18b is connected to the opening of each pair of O drive roller 20 and pinch roller 210 arranged perpendicularly to the drawing. Provided alternately. When the overflow gate drive circuit 267b is driven, the rotating shaft 18m turns and the tip of each gate piece 18b protrudes onto the banknote transport path 5 (Y! I), thus moving on the transport path 5. Banknotes are over 7o-box 19 as shown by arrow 3
be introduced within. Overflow gate drive circuit 26
When not operating, each gate piece 18b is retracted from the conveyance path 5 to the dotted line position, and the banknote is conveyed along the conveyance path 5 as indicated by arrow C.

The overflow gate 18 can also be operated by a manual switch 29. This manual switch 2
By the operation of 9, all the banknotes input into the input slot 2 can be stored in the overflow box 19. Each bill inserted at this time is discriminated by the discrimination section 4 and the bill is 011m.
The total amount is counted by a counter circuit corresponding to K, and the total amount is totaled by a totaling circuit 27 and displayed on a display 28. Therefore, this device can be used as a bill counting device.

(7) More than 0 effects of the invention As explained above, in the banknote storage device according to the present invention, an over 70-box is provided to store banknotes exceeding the storage limit number in each pool box O. Therefore, the banknote storage operation in the trench O1 can be continued without interrupting the operation of the device to collect the banknotes in the pool box. Therefore, it is possible to process banknotes exceeding the limit of the pool box, and troubles such as errors and mismatches in amounts due to interruption of device operation can be avoided. Furthermore, by connecting the overflow gate with a manual switch, it becomes possible to use it as a banknote counting device.
