Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit precise masking accurately and quickly by melt-sticking metallic foils for masking having adhesive layers of a low m.p. on places to be painted with a press under prescribed pressure and stripping the foils after painting through masking. CONSTITUTION:A foil 3 for masking provided with a release layer 5 and a base layer 4 on a metallic foil 6 and provided with an adhesive layer of a low m.p. (a compd. of ethylene-vinyl choride-vinyl acetate) under the foil 6 is placed on the nonpainting place 9 of a substrate 8 and is heated and pressurized for a micro-time of a second unit under low pressure of about a few hundreds kg/cm<2> unit by means of a plunger die 1. After the foil 3 is melt-stuck to the place 9, the layer 4 and the layer 5 are removed to leave the masking foil 3' consisting of the foil 6 and the layer 7, then painting is applied through the masking. After the painting, a stripping tape 11 having tack higher than that of the layer 7 is pressed to the foil 3' by means of a press roller 12, whereby the foil 3' is stripped off.

Conventionally, masking and painting of this oak was carried out by fitting a mask made from a mold into the non-F/11 parts of the iron workpiece, and removing the mold after painting. However, the amount of non-containing equipment differs depending on the object to be coated, and the cost of using an expensive mold for the stakes is considerable. Also, it takes a long time to make the mold. Also, setting the stiffness on the object to be painted is no longer time-consuming, and even today when painting is done in lots, the masking process becomes a bottleneck and robotization has become a reality. I can't feel it. There 1
Adhesive tape 1 It is considered to seal non-painted places. Also, when masking and painting extremely small, ultra-fine non-painted places such as those used in audio equipment, high-precision masking [(seal cutting, positioning) Currently, there are 31 methods that are not practical due to technical and cost considerations.

1 This invention uses a low melting point plastic for adhesion*, and also heats the foil having a release layer to about the melting point of the adhesive layer resin to achieve the desired packaging of the object to be coated.
1 large push type at minimum time of seconds 1'& IJ and several hundred 1
The above foil is welded to the object to be coated by pressing with a low pressure of a false true unit, and the above foil is peeled off from the release layer after m mounting. From this, a simple dynamic process called stamping f') + q masking on non-m mounted parts is performed. By doing this, we can perform large quantities of masking accurately and quickly, and by making all mold charges into annual bonds and greatly reducing labor costs, we contribute to cost reductions. The purpose is to give a beautiful finishing touch to the product.

This departure F! In A, since the melting point of the adhesive layer (7) of the masking foil 3) is low, the pressing die Ill heated to about the melting point is pressed for a very short time of seconds and with a low pressure of several hundred kg/c+a''! Just by doing this, the adhesive layer melts and adheres to the object to be coated. During the 11 hours the pressure is extremely low, the object to be coated itself does not melt, so there is no damage to the object to be coated (8). ? be. There is one piece of foil (3) that is attached to the object to be painted (8) with a decorative edge on the mask at the non-convergence point (9).

Therefore, according to the present invention, there is no damage to the object to be coated.
It is possible to perform masking in large quantities accurately, quickly, and cheaply, and has the effect of beautifully removing damaged products.
