Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は、ガス入避雷管の放電空間内に従来封入され
ている不活性ガスに水素ガスを混合することによりグロ
ー放電電圧を高く１．７、かつＩＫＶ／μＳからｌｏ　
ＫＶ／μＳ以上の立かりに対するインパルス放電開始電
圧を数１０ボルトから数百ボルト低くすると共に、イン
パルス反復寿命をも長くせしめたことを特長とする避雷
管を提供するものである。
従来のガス人避雷管においては、封入ガスとして不活性
ガス単体捷だは数種の不活性ガスを混合したものを使用
していたため、グロー放電電圧を高くすることは不可能
であった。
本発明＋ｄ不活性ガスに水素ガスを混合することにより
数１０ボルトに高くすることができだ。また、水素ガス
を混合したものは不活性ガスのみを使用したものに比し
て、数ＫＶ／μＳ以上の立ち上がりに対するインパルス
放電開始電圧を数１０ボルトから数百ボルトに低くする
ことができる。
第１図は、電圧の立ち上がり時間に対する放電開始電圧
をグラフに表わしだもので、図中１は不活性ガス単体又
は数種の不活性ガスを混合した場合、２は不活性ガスに
水素ガスを混合した場合の実験データを示すものである
。このように本発明によれば、数Ｋｖ／μＳ以上の立ち
上がりに対するインパルス放電開始電圧は著しく低くす
ることを可能にし、極めて性能の良い避雷器を得ること
ができる効果を奏する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 絶縁体よりなる外筒に対向配置された放電電極と該外筒
    の内壁にトリガー用導電部を設け、放電空間内に水素ガ
    スと不活性ガスの混合ガスを封入した避雷管。
