Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent toner particles from attaching to the face of a recording material not recorded, and from staining it, by bringing a liquid developer obtained by dispersing the toner particles into an electrically insulating solvent, into contact with only one side of a recording material supplied between both of a recording electrode and an opposite electrode and one of the 2 electrode. CONSTITUTION:A recording material 5, such as electrostatic recording paper or plain paper, is conveyed in the direction of subsidiary scanning, i.e., rectangular to a material 7 in a recess, between a recording electrode 3 and an opposite electrode 4. A liquid developer 2 in a tank 17 is drawn up through a suction tube 16 by driving a pump 18, introduced into a groove 9 for introducing it, passes over the upper end of a partition wall 12, and led toward a developer recovering groove 10, thus permitting only one face of the recording material 5 to be recorded on to be brought into contact with the developer 2, and the opposite side not used for recording (the side of the electrode 4) to be prevented from attaching of the toner and staining.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides the following advantages: l); In addition to supplying a recording medium between a recording electrode and a counter electrode that are opposed to each other, one particle is placed in an electrically insulating solvent. When the dispersed developer is brought into contact with the electrode and the recording medium, and a recording voltage is applied between the electrodes and the recording medium, a recording voltage is applied between the electrodes and the recording medium.
The present invention relates to a recording apparatus that performs recording by imprinting the 1-chip l'v on the recording medium.

Then, in this state, the recording line 6 to the recording line 3 is read.
7 When a recording voltage is applied between the electrode 3 and the counter electrode 4,
Due to the Coulomb force, the toner particles adhere to the narrow part between the recording electrode 3 and the counter electrode 4 of the recording body 5, and thereby recording is performed (the recording electrode of the recording body 5 Which surface on the opposing electrode 4 side is to be recorded is determined by the polarity of each electrode 3゜4 and the charged polarity of the 1-sub-particle, and in Figure 1, Recording is performed on the surface on the recording electrode 3 side.)

In FIGS. 2 and 3, the mold cleaners 74711 & 11b are provided with their openings facing upward in the main scanning direction. The recess 8 further includes a developer introduction groove 9, a developer recovery groove 10, and the like. The developer introduction groove 9 and the developer recovery groove 10 are separated by a partition wall 12 formed in the recess member 7, and the upper end of this partition wall 12 is the upper end of the outer peripheral wall 13 of the recess 41. It is slightly lower than that.

A large number of elongated recording electrodes 3 penetrate the partition wall 12 in the vertical direction. These recording electrodes 3 correspond to respective pixels, and the upper ends of the recording electrodes 3 are arranged in a line at the same pitch on a straight line extending in the main scanning direction. Still, the upper end of each of the recording electrodes 3 is at the same height as the upper end of the partition wall 12. Note that the recording electrodes are electrically insulated from each other. The spaces between the developer introduction groove 9 and the cleaning groove 112L and between the developer recovery groove 10 and the cleaning groove 11b are formed integrally with the recess member 7, respectively, and are formed by partitions 58 and 14,15. The -1 ends of these partition walls 14 and 15 are at the same height as the "1" ends of the outer peripheral wall 13. The developer introduction groove 9 is connected to the developer tank 1γ via a suction pipe 16. The developer tank 17 stores a developer 2 in which 1-Q particles having a diameter of about 0.1 to 1 μm are dispersed in an electrically insulating solvent such as a petroleum-based or Freon-based solvent. The toner particles are made by adsorbing a resin or an additive component that imparts properties such as dispersibility, minimum controllability, and fixability to a pigment such as carbon black.
