Abstract

PURPOSE:A fat-containing composition for feed in which the fat is emulsified or solublized in molasses or its aqueous solution, thus permitting the uniform dispersion of the molasses that can increase the palatability of the feed and the fat that is used as an energy source. CONSTITUTION:Fat is emulsified or solubilized in molasses or its aqueous solution to form a composition. Then, the composition is mixed with an aqueous phase at a temperature at which it can keep itself fluid to effect emulsification, thereby the objective fat-containing composition is obtained for feed. In this case, the molasses or the protein and/or protein hydrolyzates in the aqueous solution act as a surface active agent to give the above composition of 90% fat content even by no use of a surface active agent. However, the molasses or its aqueous solution preferably contains more than 0.1% of protein and/or protein hydrolyzate and more than 20% of water-soluble polyhydroxy compounds.

Sugar honey is the residue left after boiling down the sugar solution and removing the crystals during sucrose production.
It is rich in salts and easily digested) and is used as a feed ingredient. The effect of sugar honey as feed is to increase the palatability of feed,
It has been pointed out that crab meat increases appetite, increases the activity of useful microorganisms in the rumen, facilitates the decomposition of crude fiber in feed, and promotes microbial protein synthesis.

On the other hand, fats and oils are also important as an energy source and are used in feed. However, when simply mixing fats and oils with feed ingredients, there are few problems if only a small amount of fats and oils are mixed, but as the amount increases, It is difficult to uniformly disperse it in feed, and when it is made into pellets, the fats and oils separate on the surface, which is unfavorable in terms of storage stability.

The present inventors have proposed that if the molasses and fats and oils conventionally mixed in feed are made into a composition in which the fats and oils are emulsified or solubilized in the molasses, and if this is mixed into the feed, the fats and oils will become fine particles. We are proceeding with the study based on the idea that the above problems could be solved not only by being dispersed in the feed, but also by coating the surface of the fine particles of molasses with the solid content of molasses. As a result, fats and oils are very easily emulsified or solubilized in molasses.Furthermore, if a composition in which fats and oils are emulsified or solubilized in molasses is used, it is possible to simply mix only fats and oils. The present inventors have discovered that the above-mentioned problems in the case of feeding can be solved, and that such a composition can be incorporated into feed in various ways, and have thus arrived at the present invention.

The fat-containing composition for feed of the present invention is obtained by first preparing a composition in which fat and oil are emulsified or solubilized in molasses, and then mixing and emulsifying it into an aqueous phase at a temperature that maintains fluidity. By this manufacturing method, it is possible to obtain an oil and fat composition for feed that has a low content of both sugar honey and oil.
