Conventional fishing rods are generally manufactured by using thin (thinner than 0.1%) prepreg, winding multiple plies of the prepreg on a mandrel, and heating and curing the prepreg. Instead of uniformly winding multiple plies on top, it has also been proposed to use a thick prepreg with a thickness of 0.1%, for example, and wind one ply of this prepreg.

In other words, recently, tungsten cored boron fibers with extremely high hardness and flexural modulus have been developed and offered as materials for prepregs, but these boron fibers have a much smaller diameter than conventionally used carbon and glass fibers. Therefore, when a prepreg made of boron fiber is wound in multiple plies to form a fishing rod, the wall thickness of the fishing rod becomes extremely large.

In this case, there is no problem with hard fishing rods such as rock fishing rods, but the rigidity becomes too large and is inappropriate for soft fishing rods such as spatula fishing rods, sweetfish fishing rods, and river fishing rods.

Therefore, when making a thin fishing rod of this type using the boron fiber, the fishing rod is made by winding one ply of prepreg.

However, when a fishing rod is formed by winding one ply of prepreg, both ends of the wrapped prepreg are overlapped on a mandrel, and the overlapping parts are bonded and integrated. The thickness of the part becomes uneven, and when the prepreg is heated and cured, the thermal expansion of the polymerized part differs from that of other parts, which causes the fishing rod to warp and bend into a mountain shape with the weight part on top. There is a big problem.

The present invention was devised in view of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a good fishing rod that does not warp even though it is formed by winding one ply of prepreg.

More specifically, it is a fishing rod made by winding one ply of prepreg of a required thickness, the prepreg being divided into two parts,
These prepreg units are combined to form a tubular shape such that both end portions in the width direction overlap along the length direction, and the overlapping portions of each unit are arranged in symmetrical positions.

In the figure, 1 and 2 are single prepregs made of boron fiber or the like and made of prepreg P4.2 divided into two pieces, and each of these single pieces 1 and 2 is molded into a semicircular cross section to form a fishing rod. The individual units 1 and 2 are combined as a set, and both ends 1a, Ib in the width direction and 2a, 2b of each unit 1 and 2 are combined so as to overlap along the length direction to form a tube body, and each unit 1 and 2 are combined so as to overlap in the length direction. , 2 are provided at symmetrical positions.

Furthermore, a thin reinforcing material 4 made of cloth or yarn made of glass, carbon, Kevlar fiber, etc. is spirally wound and integrated on the inner circumferential surface of the tube body formed by each of the single bodies 1 and 2. Each prepreg unit 1, 2 uses a prepreg P cut into a roughly trapezoidal shape as shown in FIG. By dividing in this way, each of the above-mentioned single bodies 1,
When forming the fishing rod in step 2, it can be formed into a semi-cylindrical shape as shown in Fig. 2, and each fiber of the prepreg P can be aligned parallel to the longitudinal center line of the fishing rod. This makes it possible to strengthen the bending strength of the fishing rod.

That is, as shown in FIG. 4, a narrow reinforcing material 4 is first spirally wound around the outer periphery of a tapered mandrel M, and the single bodies 1 and 2 are wrapped around the outer periphery of this reinforcing material 4. One end 1a in the circumferential direction of the unit 1 rides on one end 2a of the second unit 2,
Further, the second unit 2 is placed on the other end 1b of the first unit 1.
Both ends are overlapped and wrapped so that the other end 2b rides on.

Thereafter, the outer periphery of each of the single bodies 1 and 2 is bound with cellophane tape 5 or the like, and heated and hardened in a firing furnace or the like to integrate the two vehicle portions 3a and 3b, and after this hardening, the It is pulled out from the mandrel M and used as a fishing rod.

When each unit 1, 2 is heated and cured as described above, since the edge mold curved portions 3ay3b of each unit 1, 2 are provided in symmetrical positions, the respective wheel curved portions 3a, 3b interfere with each other. Therefore, no warping or the like will occur.

As explained above, in the fishing rod of the present invention, the prepreg of the required thickness is divided into two parts, and these individual prepregs are joined together so that both ends in the width direction of each of these individual parts overlap in the length direction to form a tubular shape. Since the overlapping parts of the single parts are arranged in symmetrical positions, it is possible to obtain a good fishing rod without warping during heat curing, etc., and without having to wind multiple prepregs as in the past. A warp-free fishing rod can be obtained by winding one ply using the above-mentioned set of units. Therefore, the fishing rod can be manufactured extremely easily and in a short time without requiring any skill, and the fishing rod can be manufactured at a low cost. This makes it possible to provide the following services.
