Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an original plate for engraver with good workability without the need for producing any photographic plate by drawing figures, etc. by using an ink for film on a transparent film, and using the same as a film original plate for production of the original plates for engravers. CONSTITUTION:One surface 1a of a colorless and transparent film base 1 is worked to a matte surface, and displays 2 of figures, characters, symbols, etc. are drawn by using an ink for film on the matte surface 1a. The rear surface of the matte surface 1a drawn with the displays 2 and the resin surface 3a of a photosensitive resin plate 3 are brought into tight contact with each other. With the surface 1a faced downward, the plate is brought into tight contact with the glass 4b of an exposure device 4. After the displays 2 drawn on the film 1 are projected onto the surface 3a of the plate 3, the plate 3 is washed with lukewarm water and is dried and reexposed to cure and leave the exposed parts. The unexposed parts are dissolved away, whereby the intended intaglio plate-like original plate for engravers is obtained.

Conventionally, the method for manufacturing master plates for engraving machines is to create figures using drafting ink on paper such as ink paper.
The original drawings with characters, symbols, etc. are photographed, a photographic plate is produced, this photographic plate is used as a film master plate, a photosensitive resin plate is placed on top of the film master plate, and an exposure device is used to expose the film master from below the film master plate. After projecting the display onto a photosensitive resin plate, the photosensitive resin plate is washed with lukewarm water, dried, and re-exposed to harden the exposed areas of the photosensitive resin plate, leaving the exposed areas and dissolving the unexposed areas to create an intaglio engraving. In addition to producing original plates for machines, the production of photographic plates was considered indispensable during this manufacturing process.

However, the inventor made efforts to find a way to omit the process of producing this photographic plate, and as a result, he created a film with figures, characters, and inscriptions using film ink! This problem was solved by directly using the original film as the original film.

To explain the film original plate in more detail, one side of the film is a colorless, transparent sheet made of a film base such as polyester. Using a material coated with pine resin made by dissolving it in pensol, film ink was applied to this matte surface (hereinafter referred to as the "mantle surface").
For example, a film original plate is one in which figures, characters, symbols, and other indications (hereinafter abbreviated as indications) are drawn using neutral gray.

In (la), indication (2) is drawn with film ink. (See Figure 1) 1B+ is a photosensitive resin plate, and the back side of the resin surface (3a) formed of a photosensitive resin such as silicate ester has an unexposed portion of the resin surface as described later. Even if it dissolves when washed with lukewarm water, a metal plate (3b) is attached to it to prevent it from disintegrating into pieces (see Figure 1). A fluorescent lamp (4a) is provided as a light source, a glass (4b) is fitted onto the top surface of the fluorescent lamp, and a timer (not shown) for adjusting the exposure time is provided.(5

Then, with the matte surface (1a) of the film original plate (Otori) and the resin surface (3a) of the photosensitive resin plate (3) completely in contact with each other without air entering, the matte surface (1a) of the film original plate 11+ is placed. The matte surface (1a) of the film original plate 01 is brought into close contact with the glass (4b) of the exposure device (4) by placing the glass (5) on the photosensitive resin plate (3) with the glass (1a) facing downward. Thereafter, the photosensitive resin plate (3) is washed with lukewarm water for an appropriate amount of time, dried for an appropriate amount of time, and re-exposed. Komude photosensitive resin plate (
Since the resin surface (3m) of 3) is made of silicate ester, the exposed part of the resin surface (3a), that is, the white part in the film original plate (1) (other than the part indicated (21)) The part of the resin surface (3a) projected by the light source (4&) (other than the display (2&)) remains after hardening, and the unspoken light part of the resin surface (3a), that is, the film master (1) The display (2) on the resin surface (3a) projected by the light source (4a) is dissolved and an intaglio-shaped engraving machine master plate is obtained.(See Figure V) ) As described above, the present invention involves stacking a photosensitive resin plate on top of a film original plate, projecting the display of the film original onto the photosensitive resin plate for an appropriate period of time using a light source below the film original plate, washing with warm water for an appropriate period of time, drying, and re-exposure. In this method, one side of a colorless, transparent film base is made into a matte state in a method of manufacturing an intaglio-like original plate for an engraving machine by leaving the photosensitive resin board hardened and leaving the unexposed areas melted. In addition to processing the matte surface, figures, characters, symbols, etc. were drawn on the matte surface using film ink and used as a film original plate, so there was no need to photograph the original image and make a photographic plate as in the past. The process can be streamlined.
