Because this fuel meter is installed, a fuel unit is required to detect the remaining amount of fuel in the fuel tank.
For this reason, electrical wiring is required for the fuel tank, and conventionally the wire harness of the fuel unit was exposed outside the fuel tank outer panel and connected to the fuel meter near the handle or on the earthen wall of the fuel tank. That is the reality.

For this reason, the wiring of the wire harness is restricted, and the wiring must be placed adjacent to a heat source such as an engine, or the wires may be caught and damaged when passengers get on and off the vehicle or during driving operations. This is not desirable.

The inventors came up with this idea in order to solve the problems caused by the above-mentioned wiring method for the fuel tank.
The purpose of this is to route the wires without exposing them to the outside of the fuel tank outer panel, ensure flexibility in wiring, and make it possible to route the wires away from the heat source. In order to achieve the above-mentioned objectives, we have developed a wiring structure for wires in a motorcycle in which the wiring does not obstruct the rider's getting on and off or driving operations, and also has a good appearance. is characterized in that a pipe material is provided that runs vertically between the top and bottom plates of the outer panel of the fuel tank, and the wire harness of the fuel unit is routed through the wiring passage formed by this pipe material.

This fuel unit 9 is connected to a float (not shown) provided in the tank by an arm 10, and moves the robin via the arm 10 by raising and lowering the float in accordance with the fuel level, changing the electrical resistance, and moving the robot near the handle. The remaining amount of fuel is displayed by moving a display means such as a fuel meter needle installed at a visible position on the earthen wall of the fuel tank.

In addition, as mentioned above, in order to lead out the wire to the outside of the bottom of the fuel tank, the wiring can be freely distributed and wired from this lead-out part along the main frame, and the wiring should be routed avoiding heat sources such as the engine. This has similar advantages in terms of wiring, and it is also good in terms of appearance as the wiring is not exposed. In terms of structure, it is simple as it is sufficient to simply install the pipe material vertically through the fuel tank, and it is also possible to It also functions as a reinforcing material and exhibits various excellent features such as increasing its rigidity, making it extremely practical.
