Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply manufacture iron cloisonne ware by applying metallic oxide to an iron matrix surface, calcining it to form an oxide coat, and calcining cloisonne glaze on the coat. CONSTITUTION:Ni or Co paste is applied to the whole surface of a dried mild steel plate 1 and heated in a furnace to form an oxide coat 2 on the surface of the plate 1. Known cloisonne glaze 3 prepared from silica, red lead and potassium nitrate as principal starting materials is fixed on the oxide coat 2 in a desired design and calcined in a furnace. By carrying out finishing by an ordinary method after cooling, iron cloisonne ware is obtd.

The use of iron as a base material for metal acid cloisonné products has been known for some time. However, when manufacturing actual iron cloisonné products, it is extremely difficult to achieve perfect harmony between the iron base and cloisonne glaze due to differences in surface tension, thermal expansion coefficient, etc. between the iron base and cloisonné glaze. As a result, cracks and peeling occurred in the fired iron cloisonne, making it almost impossible to obtain perfect iron cloisonné products with practical value.

To solve this problem, various cloisonné paints with different melting points are fused to the plated wood, which is coated with nickel plating 3 to 5 microns thick on the iron surface, and then silver plated 100 µm thick on top of that. An iron cloisonné processing method (Special Publication No. 43-2112) has been proposed. However, since the above processing method involves plating the iron base, processing is very troublesome.
Moreover, the cost was high, and it could not necessarily be said to be a practically excellent processing method.

The inventor of the present invention has conducted extensive research in order to completely fuse the cloisonné glaze to the iron base and to easily manufacture a practical and highly reliable iron cloisonné product. By applying and firing it and forming an oxide film on the iron base surface, the surface tension and coefficient of thermal expansion are harmonized with the cloisonné glaze.
It was discovered that the cloisonné glaze could be completely fused to the gorge without cracking or peeling. The present invention was made based on the above findings.

In the present invention, the iron base includes mild steel, high carbon steel,
Any suitable alloy can be used. The shape may be a flat plate rolled according to a conventional method, or it may be formed into an appropriate shape. By firing the metal oxide, an oxide film layer of #1 oxide and ferric oxide is formed on the iron base, which helps the fusion between the iron base and the cloisonné glaze. , cobalt, nickel, manganese, mol J 7', etc. are used, and cobalt and nickel are particularly preferred. Then, one or more of the metal oxides are kneaded with an organic medium to form a paste and applied to the iron-purple ground complex. Firing at 700'C
Perform at ~850°C for 1 minute x 2 minutes. For the cloisonné glaze, we use a well-known lead-potash glass whose main raw materials are stone lead red and nitric potash. Firing of cloisonné glaze is 750”C~85
Perform at 0'C for 30 to 90 seconds.

) and dried. A dry mild steel plate was coated with nickel and cobalt in the form of a paste, and then heated in a furnace at 750°C for 90 seconds to form an oxide film on the mild steel plate. Next, a known copper cloisonné was fixed on the film in a desired pattern, and heated in a furnace at 750'C for 50 seconds. Once the heating is complete, it is cooled and then subjected to the usual finishing treatment to obtain a Kyo Cloisonné product. The obtained scissor cloisonné product was naturally released for 7 days.
However, no cracking or peeling of the cloisonné was observed.

According to the present invention, according to the above-F, a metal 1 dredged material is applied to the iron base 1 and fired, an oxide film is formed on the iron base 1, and a cloisonné glaze is fired on the film. Because of this, the surface tension and thermal expansion coefficient of the iron base and cloisonné glaze are harmonized,
The iron base and cloisonné glaze can be completely fused together,
(3) Iron cloisonné products with practical value can be obtained without cracking or peeling even during long-term use. It's Kade.
It is easier to operate than conventional plating methods, and iron cloisonné products can be obtained in just 1 d. Furthermore, since iron is less expensive than silver, copper, red copper, etc., it can not only be provided at a low price, but also is lightweight and has excellent strength.
