Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a loose-type powdery cosmetic having the cooling effect and the effect of conventional face powder and liquid face paint, i.e. absorption of sebum and moisture of the skin and the suppression of the sebum secretion, and suitable for the use in summer season, by using hydrophobic silica, water and lubricant as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective powdery cosmetic contains 6-10wt% hydrophobic silica, 50-85wt% water, and 5-44wt% lubricant. The hydrophobic silica is silica having hydrophobic property, disintegrable with water, and giving a powdery cosmetic having cooling effect when combined with water and a lubricant, and is obtained, e.g. by the reaction coating of silica with a silicone compound. The lubricant is an agent to improve the worability of the cosmetic by imparting lubricity to the powdery cosmetic, and is e.g. hydrophobic synthetic resin powder, hydrophobic inorganic powder, hydrophobic metallic soap powder (e.g. nylon powder, talc powder, etc.), etc. An alcohol, etc. may be added to the above cosmetic to promote the cooling effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention (a) is applied to a novel powder cosmetic composition containing hydrophobized silica, water and a lubricant and having a cooling effect.

In the present invention, hydrophobized silica refers to hydrophobic silica that has the property of containing water and turning into powder, and that can be used in combination with water and a lubricant to provide a powder cosmetic with a cooling effect.
