    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 光源と光ファイバの入射端面との間に枝付き球レンズを
    設置し、この枝付き球レンズの枝部を通った光を検知し
    て上記光源の発光レベルをモニタする光結合器において
    、少なくとも上記枝部を屈折率の高い中心のコアと、こ
    のコアを包囲してコアよりも低屈折率であるクラッドと
    で形成したことを特徴とする光結合器。
