Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to perform a smooth excavating work at a limited spot, by a method wherein a revolving center of an upper revolving body coincides with a vertical line which halves a longitudinal length and a lateral width of a lower mechanism, and the trace width of the upper revolving body is set within the width of the lower mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An upper revolving body 4 consists of a driver seat 7, a ?-shaped boom 1a, an excavating arm 1b, and a bucket 1c. The revolving center axis is positioned so that it coincides with a vertical line (b) standing at a point which halves a longitudinal length and a lateral width of a lower mechanism 6, and a minimum width l of the revolving trace of the upper revolving body is set within the width of the lower mechanism 6. A narrow road in front of an excavator is excavated, and the excavated earth scooped into the bucket 1c is repeatedly discharged onto a dump truck waiting in the rear of the excavator after the upper revolving body 4, brought to the minimum revolving trace width l, revolves in a 180 deg. arc.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an excavator of a type in which an upper revolving body such as a backhoe-clamshell can rotate a full 360° relative to a lower mechanism.

In a conventional excavator of this type, as shown in Figure 1, a working device (1) such as a boom, a hydraulic system (2), an engine (3), etc. integrally constitute an upper revolving body (4). Therefore, the rotation trajectory of the upper revolving structure (4) inevitably takes up a larger space than the lower mechanism (6) such as the traveling device (5). Therefore, when a conventional excavator of this type is installed in a narrow place for work, there is a high risk that when the upper revolving structure (4) turns, it will come into contact with surrounding houses, etc., or collide with the surrounding buildings. , it is not possible to load the excavated soil into a dump truck. However, recently there has been a lot of excavation work in narrow urban areas.
There is a demand for the introduction of machines that can perform excavation work smoothly and efficiently.

本発明はこのような実状に鑑みその要請に応えてなされ

The present invention has been made in response to the request in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and provides a novel excavator with a simple structure that enables smooth and efficient excavation work in narrow spaces within the machine body. The purpose is to provide.

The invention will now be described with reference to illustrative embodiments. Note that the same reference numerals are used for parts common to the conventional embodiment.

In FIG. 2, the upper rotating body (4) is a rotating base (4a).
A dogleg-shaped boom (la

The central axis of rotation of the upper revolving body (4) coincides with a vertical line opening that bisects the entire front and back length of the lower mechanism (6) and the left and right center (Fig. 3), and the upper revolving body (4) The lower mechanism (6) is positioned such that the minimum width l of the turning locus fits within the inner wall of the lower mechanism (6).

Therefore, when using the excavator configured as described above for excavation work such as "narrow roads in urban areas", the upper revolving body (4) is set to the minimum width l of the revolving trajectory. When the excavator runs, it can be smoothly introduced into the narrow road equivalent to the lower mechanism (6).Then, the narrow road in front of the excavator is excavated and the excavated soil scooped into the packet (1c) is transferred to the upper revolving structure (4).
The robot then makes a 180° turn within the minimum turning trajectory and repeatedly discharges it to a dump truck waiting on one side.

As described above, according to the present invention, excavation work in a narrow space can be carried out smoothly and efficiently without the revolving superstructure coming into contact with or colliding with a house or the like.
