Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative surface having improved abrasion resistance in printed parts by printing characters, patterns, etc. by using non-conductive ink on the surface of a blank material, at least the surface whereof consists of a conductive material, then applying electroplating on the parts other than the printed parts. CONSTITUTION:After a blank material 4 for a decorative button or the like consisting of metals such as iron, Al or the like or a conductive synthetic resin is degreased, the material is chemically etched by a strong acid or the like, and prescribed patterns 5, etc. are printed on the surface thereof. Non-conductive synthetic resin ink of epoxy resins, polyester resins, etc. is used for the printing. Electroplating is applied on the material 4 printed on with the patterns 5, etc. The conductive parts other than the printed parts which are non-conductive are plated with, for example, a gold plating layer 6 or the like. Materials of which the surfaces are treated with a conductive material may be used for the material 4.

Conventionally, it has been known to print on the surface of synthetic resin materials or the surface of metal, but this can be applied to decorative items such as decorative buttons. When printed on a surface, it gives the impression of a flat surface to the viewer, and has the drawback that it is easily abraded because the printed portion protrudes above the base. For this reason, the selection of printing paint,
Alternatively, countermeasures such as applying a coating to the printed surface were required.

), this part is i! ! For example, paint 3 is applied to the recess 1a with Vt<Fig. 1-C) from which paraffin has been removed.
There is a method to draw a pattern by pouring etc. (@Figure 1-f). However, according to this method, if the recess s1a is extremely narrow, it is difficult for the paint 3, etc. to flow to every corner, making it difficult to draw delicate patterns, and when the paint 3, etc. is injected, the paint 3, etc. There was a risk that @la would overflow.

This f14 mori was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and is a round object made of a conductive material, or a material whose surface has been treated with a conductive material, with letters or patterns printed using non-conductive ink. Then, by electroplating the above material to plate conductive parts other than the printed parts, it is possible to form a three-dimensional decorative surface and improve the abrasion resistance of the printed surface. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a decorative surface.

As described above, according to the method for manufacturing a decorative surface according to the present invention, characters are formed by using a non-conductive infill on a material formed of a conductive material or a material surface-treated with a conductive material. Alternatively, by printing a pattern, etc., and then electroplating the above material to plate the conductive parts other than the printed part, it is possible to form a delicate and three-dimensional decorative surface. It is possible to improve the wear resistance of the part.
