For example, in the continuous dyeing of polyacrylonitrile tow, the spun tow is passed through a dye solution flowing in countercurrent through a series of stepwise connected vessels, and at the point where the tow leaves the vessel, Japanese Patent Publication No. 50-10431 proposes a method of adjusting the amount of dye supplied so that the dye concentration is high and the dye concentration is extremely low at the entrance where the tow enters the container.

Although hydrogel fibers can be dyed efficiently using this method, the dye adsorption behavior of hydrogel fibers, the adjustment of the dye concentration in the dyeing bath, and the dye shedding behavior during the washing process of dyed fibers must be maintained under constant conditions. One of the difficulties is that it is difficult to dye the tow without causing dyeing spots in the thickness direction of the tow and in the fiber axis direction.

In addition, dyed tow needs to be washed after washing, and there are problems in treating the wastewater containing dye discharged during this washing process, and dyes are also contained in the wastewater drained from the dyeing bath for tow. Therefore, a great deal of effort must be put into processing it.

In view of the above-mentioned current situation, the present invention enables the production of uniformly dyed tow with few dyed spots and good dyeing fastness, and eliminates the need for dyeing wastewater facilities or This was the result of a study to develop a dyeing device that could be made extremely small and save on operating costs. This is a continuous dyeing device consisting of a dyeing device, a heat treatment device for dyed tow, and a washing machine for dyed tow. It is located in a continuous dyeing device connected via a liquid pump via a pipeline.

In the conventional continuous dyeing equipment, there is no connection between the dyed tow washing waste liquid discharge port and the spun tow washing liquid supply port, and it takes a lot of effort to dispose of the dye waste liquid from dyed tow. However, the device of this invention is
The structure is such that the dye-containing waste liquid is reused as washing water for the spun tow, so the dye supplied to this dyeing device is almost completely adsorbed into the fibers, preventing the dye from getting mixed into the waste water. There are hardly any.

Since the dye adsorption power of the tow treated by this heat treatment apparatus is significantly improved, the amount of dye washed out in the washing process of the dyed tow is reduced, so that process control of the dyeing apparatus of the present invention becomes extremely easy.

Next, the tow, which was light colored but uniformly dyed with no dyeing spots in the thickness direction of the tow and in the fiber axis direction, was then subjected to main dyeing in a dyeing tank 6 at room temperature, and then passed through heated steam at 105°C. After passing through the heat treatment device 14, the dyed tow was fed to a countercurrent washing machine 21 supplied with hot water and washed while being stretched.

When dyeing tow with the dyeing device of the present invention, the tow is first pre-dyed in the washing process and then main-dyed, so the dye with a low concentration is absorbed first and then the main dyeing is carried out. Therefore, the dye is evenly adsorbed into the yarns forming the tow, and this prevents differences in dye adsorption speed between the yarns forming the tow, resulting in no dyeing spots and fast dyeing. Can be made into tow-dyed products with excellent propertiesb
In addition, since the tow dyed in this manner is further heat-treated, the adsorption efficiency of the dye into the yarn forming the tow is further increased, making it possible to obtain a tow dyed product with extremely good color fastness.

As described above, the present invention connects the waste liquid discharge port for washing the dyed tow with the liquid supply port of the countercurrent type water washer for unstretched tow by a pipeline via a liquid sending pump. Since the dye in the low concentration dye-containing waste liquid of several percent can be almost completely adsorbed to the tow in a swollen state after solidifying in a countercurrent washing machine, not only is there no need to dispose of the dye-containing waste water. This is also advantageous in terms of thermoeconomics since it is used to wash away the solvent contained in the spun, undrawn tow.

In addition, since the dye supplied to the tow dyeing system can be completely adsorbed into the tow, there is no tilling phenomenon that occurs due to differences in dye affinity in so-called tow dyeing, and it is extremely stable in the vertical direction. It is possible to reduce spots and has an extremely large practical effect.
