Abstract

PURPOSE:To form groove parts lengthwise easily even in the surface of a long- sized tube material which has step parts in the middle, by pressing plural rotatable forming rollers against the tube material surface and then running it lengthwise. CONSTITUTION:Plural rotatable forming rollers 2 are pressed against the surface of a tube material 1 wherein groove parts 3 are to be formed at equal intervals so that each rotating surface coincides with the center axis 1 of the tube material 1. Those press-contacting rollers 2 are run in the lengthwise direction of the tube material 1 and grooves 3 are formed in the surface axis direction of the material 1 with rotating circumferential edge parts of the rotating rollers 2. In this case, the tube material 1 is rotated around the center axis A by a specified angle in the middle to easily form numbers of grooves 3 at different intervals. This method facilitates the formation of the groove parts 3 even if there is a step part 4 in the middle of the tube material 1.

Conventionally, when creating longitudinal grooves in pipe materials, press working has been considered, but with the press method, a female mold, etc. must be loaded inside the pipe material, and equipment corresponding to the diameter and length of the pipe material is required. Pressing is not suitable for tubes with stepped sections or tapered ends, and when forming long grooves, there are problems with uniformity of pressing. It was accompanied by some difficulty. The present invention has been devised in consideration of the following points.

The forming roller (2) is rotatable and movable back and forth and left and right. The forming roller (2) is provided so that the central axis (A) of the material tube (1) lies on its rotating surface. That is, they are provided so as to be positioned radially with respect to the central axis (A). The number of forming rollers (2) to be installed is not limited to the side stages, and may be one as shown in FIGS.
When performing (3)..., the number of forming rollers (2) may be increased to 2.14 as shown in Fig. 3.4.5. However, many grooves (3) (3)...

(3) It is not necessary to arrange the number of grooves (3) around the material tube (1), for example, when forming 12 grooves (3) around the material pipe (1), use the forming roller (2) as shown in Figure 4. If six pieces are provided, the purpose can be achieved by sequentially rotating the material tube (1) by 50 degrees. Of course, the forming roller (2)
It is also possible to rotate the material around the material tube (1).

When forming the groove portion (3), the forming roller (2) is caused to run while pressing against a predetermined position of the material tube (1). The process involves a process in which the groove (3) is initially shallow and gradually deepens, depending on the depth k of the groove (3), that is, the forming roller (2) moves forward (towards the center of the material tube (1)), By repeating the process of running (parallel to the axis (B)) several times, it was possible to avoid a decrease in wall thickness in the groove (3) or its surroundings, and the finished condition was also good. Numerous grooves (3) (3) around (1)...
In the case of forming ..., rather than completing the groove (3) partially around the material tube (1), it is necessary to form the groove (3) evenly around the circumference, that is, each groove (3) (3)... It is better to form grooves (3) (3) around the entire circumference while sequentially rotating the material tube (1) at an appropriate angle from a shallow state to a deep state, so that the material tube does not deform. In addition, the wall thickness was uniform and a good grooved tube was obtained. In the present invention, as described above, the grooves are formed by pressing the rotatable forming roller against the material tube and running it in the longitudinal direction. It is also possible to form a long groove, and even when the material tube has a step (4) as shown in Fig. 3, it is not necessary to load a female die as in press working. Since there are no holes, grooves can be easily formed without being affected by the shape of the material tube.

In other words, it is possible to form pipes with a mixture of steps (waveforms) and longitudinal grooves.

Changing the number of grooves around the material tube is as easy as changing the rotation angle of the material tube, and since the forming roller can move back and forth, it can be used to accommodate large and small diameters of the material tube, making it suitable for a wide variety of types. This means that we can provide a wide variety of grooved pipe materials.
